Veszprém is one of the oldest urban areas in Hungary, and a city with county rights. It lies approximately 15 km (9 mi) north of the Lake Balaton. It is the administrative center of the county (comitatus or 'megye') of the same name.

We planned to spend a month or so in Croatia, but at the moment found this little country known as Montenegro. Admittedly, we knew very little about it, so we decided to skip Croatia and head further south for Montenegro. We prefer travel by train rather than air (you see more, and it's just a different experience- sometimes great... sometimes, not so great). This journey was highly recommended by the man in seat 61. About Us: I'm PJ. My partner, inspiration, trainer, chef, and moral compass, Risa, are what we (reluctantly) refer to as, digital nomads. I say, reluctantly, as I've been living the digital nomad lifestyle for about 15 years now (long before the term was coined, and became the cheesy trend it is today. It seems that everyone these days on vacation with a laptop, a pina colada next to them, Avicii on their headphones, and a dozen memory sticks filled with selfies now considers themselves a (don't forget the hashtag) digital nomad.
I started out at age 19.
I quit my job at the time, to focus on the then still relatively unknown arbitrage business model as applied on eBay. Long story short, I saw an opportunity, invested all I had in it (time + money) and by my early 20s, I no longer had any interest in returning to Canada (where I grew up). I bounced mostly around Asia, for many years (all the usual nomad hotspots: Thailand, Vietnam, S. Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, with a preference for Japan (lived all over Japan, from Tokyo, to the most remote Japanese islands in the Pacific). In late 2013, one of my returns to Tokyo, I met a captivating young woman, Risa, who helped me to re-calibrate my high-flyin', rock-star lifestyle and regain focus. Within a few months of meeting, she elected to quit her job in Tokyo and joined me on this nomadic journey.
This channel, will document our perpetual traveller lifestyle. It's not always easy, it's not always fun. There are highs and lows. Sometimes money is very tight, other times it seems like it's the least of our worries. But when done right, the digital nomad lifestyle is a journey unlike any other.
Over the last few years, we generally stay off the beaten path and instead venture into areas seldom spoken about in digital nomad circles. You won't see us visiting Bali, Saigon, or Bangkok. Been there, got the SIM card, and still feel a bit hungover. As we travel, we focus on personal growth, on disconnecting, unlearning, and thus thriving. We attempt to engage in philanthropy when we can. We respect the cultures kind enough to allow us to visit their land and their homes. Feel free to send us feedback, comments, suggestions.

Day Trip to Veszprem from Budapest in Hungary - Is It Worth It?
Veszprem is a historic city about two hours southwest of Budapest. Once you arrive at the airport, get on the bus to Kobanya and change to the underground there.
The metro will take you to Nepliget Bus Terminal where you can catch the bus to Veszprem. The ticket to Veszprem costs less than 2,500 Hungarian Forints or about $10.
Once you arrive at Budapest airport, get on the public transport bus (200E) to Kőbánya and change to the underground there (Blue Line). The metro will take you to Népliget Bus Terminal where you can catch the bus to Veszprém from Budapest.

Travelling by Train from Zurich in Switzerland to Budapest in Hungary via Vienna in Austria
Travelling by train between Hungary and Switzerland is a spectacular journey, taking about 13 hours in total.
If you are travelling by train from Zurich to Budapest using your interrail or Eurail pass, then you will most likely take this train as this is the most direct journey to Hungary from Switzerland.
There are a couple of direct trains from Switzerland to Hungary every day, but you can also travel direct to Vienna from Zurich and change there to Budapest.
The train journey from Zurich in Switzerland to Budapest in Hungary will take you past the Alps, through amazing valleys and some breathtaking rivers and forests.
Switzerland is one of the best connected countries in Europe with various international trains to Italy, France, Germany, Austria and Hungary. The best option to travel from Zurich to Vienna is taking one of the direct Railjet trains using the Austrian National Railways. These depart frequently and don’t require a reservation.
The train tends to get busy in Salzburg until Vienna as people get on it to travel to the Airport. Make sure you set an alarm for the scheduled arrival time in Vienna as the main train station there is not its final stop. So in case you fall asleep there is a chance you will travel all the way to the airport.

The Magyar Vasúttörténeti Park (Hungarian Railway History Park) is a railway museum located in Budapest, Hungary at a railway station and workshop of the Hungarian State Railways (MÁV), the former Budapest North Depot. The museum covers more than 70,000 square meters and it features over one hundred exhibits, mostly including railway vehicles and equipment.
The museum has a fleet with many locomotives of the Hungarian State Railways, ranging from steam engines to electric engines, of which some are still operational.[1] The museum also exhibits other forms of rail transport, such as hand-powered cars and inspection cars. Some exhibits include a teak dining car built for the Orient Express and the Árpád railcar, respectively built in 1912 and 1934.
