Ireland is an island in north-western Europe which has been divided politically since 1920. Most of the island is made up of Ireland (Irish: Éire, also known as Poblacht na hÉireann = the Republic of Ireland). The remainder is Northern Ireland, which is part of the United Kingdom.

============
Blarney Castle - Located in County Cork This historic castle is known for its Blarney Stone. Tradition is that if the Blarney Stone is kissed, one will be blessed with great eloquence, better known as the gift of the gab. One kisses the stone by lying back and being held by an employee of the castle. Photographers are there to capture the moment!
Cliffs of Moher - Located in County Clare One of Ireland's biggest and most visited tourist attractions. The Cliffs are 230 meters in height and tower over the Atlantic Ocean. This attraction, whilst beautiful in the Summer, can be a bit of a tourist trap. If you intend to take your own transport, the over-priced car park is your only option (since the road is too narrow to park on) and to purchase your 'pay-and-display' parking ticket, you will need to go all the way through the gift shop (on the opposite side of the road), before returning to place it in your car.
Kilkenny - One of Ireland's favourite tourist spots, this Medieval Capital just 1 hour 40 minutes train out of Dublin City is a must see. Its beautiful buildings and of course imposing Norman Castle - not to mention the numerous festivals including the Arts Festival and Rhythm and Roots Festival - make Kilkenny a most desirable location.
Co. Donegal - An amazing area to see if you have your own transport, as bus services can be fairly limited. This part of the country is very traditional and you can expect to see plenty of low stone walls, thatched roof houses, rugged hills, cliffs and golden sand beaches. Best visited during Spring or Summer, there are plenty of hills walks and photo opportunities waiting to be discovered.

Bus Tours - For travellers wishing to experience Ireland on a budget, there are a variety of inexpensive bus tours in almost every part of the country. These tours can range from hop-on hop-off busses in major cities such as Dublin and Cork to 5-day trips through some of the most scenic parts of the country. The bus drivers/guides are generally well informed about Irish history and enjoy sharing local legends and songs with anyone happy to 'lend and ear'.

This coastal route is called the Wild Atlantic Way. From Galway City, we drive south to Oranmore and then to Kinvara. Turning right in Kinvara, we went through the Burren in County Clare, down to the Cliffs of Moher. And from the Cliffs of Moher we came down the west coast of Clare. We came down to Liscannor and continued on into Lahinch. From Lahinch we went down the west coast all the way down to Doonbeg. We had lunch in Kilrush and then caught our ferry across the River Shannon. We came into North Kerry, to Tarbert. And from Tarbert we came into Listowel. And from Listowel we went to Tralee, and from Tralee – we stopped in Tralee. We had a look at the gardens in Tralee and the history museum. We went to Camp, Lispole and on into Dingle and the Dingle Peninsula.
Tour a $16 Million Irish Castle in 360
Knockdrin Castle is a 19,000+ square foot mansion set on over 1,000 acres in Ireland. It's on the market with Ireland Sotheby's International Realty for the first time in more than 50 years.

Best Places to Play golf in Dublin.
As Rory McIlroy said of the Hermitage golf club The course was a real challenge and the greens were of the quality only seen on tour. The Hermitage is a great place to visit and is one of the best golf courses in Dublin.
Ireland has truly some of the most beautiful and challenging golf courses in the world.
They famously say but Ireland is the land with forty shades of green and as you can see from our videos and photographs of this course, this this is very true.
We fully recommend the Hermitage golf club for a game of golf situated near the middle of Dublin City. It is a very short drive from Dublin city and only a 10 minute drive to Dublin airport, however when you are standing on the banks of the infamous Liffey and the Rolling Hills surrounding it, you will be very hard pressed to realise that you are in the heart of a great European City. This club is situated in some of the most beautiful land in Ireland.
Hermitage Golf Club is not only in the middle of the city but in the middle of this great Irish Golfing tradition.
When visiting Dublin and Ireland on a golf vacation or golf break, this course is well wort a visit, super accessible and beautiful.
Have a look at some more of our Irish Golf club videos and Photos as well as our great flyover caddie tips from Colin Byrne, caddie to some of the best golfers in the World.
Mullingar to Dublin in 3 minutes
This short video was shot with a Canon G9 compact digital camera fixed to the wing mirror of a car doing a journey between Mullingar and Dublin on the N4 and M4 in Ireland. The video is an experiment to test the quality of the Stop-Frame function in demanding circumstances (the car was travelling at speeds of 120km plus for 1 hour and 10 minutes). The camera compressed the Ihr journey into a 2.5 minute AVI clip which was load up unedited here.
