Muzaffarnagar, located in the northern part of Uttar Pradesh is popularly known as “The Sugar Bowl of India”. The economy of the district is mainly based on agriculture; sugarcane, paper and steel industries. Muzaffarnagar is now part of National Capital Region. It is part of Saharanpur division. The city is located in the middle of a highly fertile upper Ganga-Yamuna Doab region and is very near to the New Delhi and Saharanpur, making it one of the most developed and prosperous cities of Uttar Pradesh. This city is part of Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) and Amritsar Delhi Kolkata Industrial Corridor (ADKIC). It is the principal commercial, industrial and educational hub of Western Uttar Pradesh. Khari Boli, a prestigious dialect of Hindi, is the native tongue of the city which resembles a lot with the Haryanvi dialect of Hindi.

Muzaffarnagar is a city and a municipal board in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. The city was established in Mughal period by a Sayyid Jagirdar, Munawar Lashkar Ali, and so named in honour of his father, Muzaffar Ali Khan. It is the headquarters of the Muzaffarnagar district. Many popular farmer leaders come from Muzaffarnagar. It is situated midway on Delhi and Dehradun National Highway (NH 58), the city is also well connected with the national railway network.
Meerut is a city in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is an ancient city with settlements dating back to the Indus Valley civilization having been found in and around the area. The city lies 70 km northeast of the national capital New Delhi, and 453 km northwest of the state capital, Lucknow. It is the second largest city in the National Capital Region of India (the largest being Delhi), and as of 2011 the 33rd most populous urban agglomeration and the 26th most populous city in India.
It ranked 292 in 2006 and is projected to rank 242 in 2020 in the list of largest cities and urban areas in the world. The city is one of the largest producers of sports goods, and the largest producer of musical instruments in India. The city is also an education hub in western Uttar Pradesh.

In this video I have explained how to reach badrinath dham and the places to see near badrinath dham. I have also explained what activities you can do at badrinath dham.
The main temple at badrinath dham is dedicated to lord Vishnu who is worshiped here as badrinath. The deity is made up of black salagram which is of 3 ft height. Before going for darshan it is advised to take bath in tapata kunda . The water of tapta kunda remains hot always and believed to cure lots of diseases. After taking bath you complete your darshan. If you want to do pinda dan you can visit Brahma kapal which is near to the temple and can do pinda dan in alaknanda river. After your pinda dan is over you can visit mana gaon which is 5 km far from the main temple. You may or may not get share taxi to reach mana gaoan. This is the last village of india after that the Chinese boarder starts. In mana gaon you will get lots of tourist attraction like vyasa gufa, ganesh gufa, bhim pull, saraswati river, Vishnu charan paduka, vasudhara falls, nilkantha parbat, nar narayan parbat. You must visit these places they are worth visiting. To cover all these places you have to walk atleast 5 km.
How to reach badrinath temple:
By train:
To reach badrinath temple the nearest railway station is Rishikesh. But it is not properly connected to lots of cities with good train. So the best option is you take train to Haridwar railway station.Bus stand is in front of the Haridwar railway station. From Bus stand you can take bus to badrinath. But you have to reach early morning otherwise you will not get direct bus to badrinath. In that case you can get bus to joshi math and from joshimath you take share taxi to badrinath.
By Flight:
The nearest airport to badrinath is jolly grant airport. From jolly grant airport take taxi to rishikesh. From Rishikesh you can get direct bus to badrinath in early morning otherwise take bus to joshimath and from joshimath take share taxi to badrinath temple. If you are getting cheaper flight to delhi than you can get direct bus to badrinath from isbt kashmiri gate.
Hotels and fooding:
There are lots of hotels, ashrams available to stay at badrinath temple premises and also at joshi math. You can easily find vegetarian food in temple premises.
