Road Trip , SRI LANKA | 2019 Travel VLOG #4
We started our road trip from colombo.
Day 01 - Headed up to Nuwara Eliya via Yatiyanthota and Nawalapitiya. On its way from Yatiyanthota to Nawalapitiya we found some beautiful locations and some waterfalls.
Day 02 - Started the road trip from Nuwara Eliya in the early morning and went to Adisham Bungalow and Idalgashinna railway Station.Ending the second Day at Ella.
Day 03 - Climbing Ella Rock in the morning and visiting Nine Arch Bridge. Leaving Ella and on its way we visited Ellawala Waterfall.Ending up the 600Km road trip with lots of memories.

Kadiyanlena Falls | කඩියන්ලෙන ඇල්ල | Nawalapitiya
Clean and untouched Kadiyanlena/Kataboola falls is truly an amazing place to visit. It is quite famous among local waterfall hunters and a must see place if you are a nature lover. Kadiyanlena is located in Nawalapitiya, precisely in Kadiyanlena village. This is near Hatton, Nuwara Eliya and Kandy.
It has five stages and each falling step creates clean natural pools. According to locals, the first pool at the bottom is close to 100 feet deep and forbidden to use. Other four pools are relatively safer and less than 10 feet deep.

Galboda is an isolated village located in between Nawalapitiya and Watawala, in the Colombo-Badulla, the upcountry railway.
The Galboda Ella Fall in the Central Province. Galboda Falls is 30m high but the width ranges from between 3m and 6m, depending on the season.
At certain times of year, the water also cascades in two streams. Growing in the surrounding woodland is a rare species of orchid and the vicinity is home to a wide variety of wildlife. Among them are 12 species of reptile and four are only found in Sri Lanka.

Ella (Sinhalese: ඇල්ල; Lit. water fall; Tamil: எல்ல) is a small town in the Badulla District of Uva Province, Sri Lanka governed by an Urban Council. It is approximately 200 kilometres (120 mi) east of Colombo and is situated at an elevation of 1,041 metres (3,415 ft) above sea level. The area has a rich bio-diversity, dense with numerous varieties of flora and fauna. Ella is surrounded by hills covered with cloud forests and tea plantations.
Nawalapitiya Sri lanka
Nawalapitiya (Sinhalese: නාවලපිටිය, Tamil: நாவலபிட்டி) is a town in Central Province, Sri Lanka. It is in the Kandy District, governed by an Urban Council. It is 38 km (24 mi) away from Kandy and 112 km (70 mi) from Colombo. It is located 589 m (1,932 ft) above sea level. The town is near Mahaweli Ganga. Nawalapitiya can also be identified as Peace Town, because the population of Sinhala (47%), Tamil (38%), and Muslims (14%) peacefully co-exist there. Nawalapitiya Railway station is the second longest station in Sri Lanka, the first one being Rambukkana.
Lakshapana Sri lanka
The very popular 129m high Lakshapana Ella fall is thought to derive its name from the presence of iron ore (laksha) in the rocks over which the water flows.The Lakshapana Reservoir, where the fall is found, is used by power stations at New Lakshapana, Canyon and Polpitye Samanala resulting in a certain amount of water depletion. A number of villages including Lakshapana, Pathana, Kiriwaneliya, Muruthatenna, Kottalena, Hunugala and Belumgala surround the fall.
The fall is 660m above sea level in the Nuwara Eliya Ambagamuwa Korale at the Ginigathhena Divisional Secretariat. The most convenient route is the Hatton – Maskeliya road. Take this road for 18km from Hatton, where a footpath leads down past the Pathana village to the fall. Temple.It is possible to go the top of the lakshapana falls by taking a by road which lies about 500 meters away from the pont B ( towards maskeliya Road). Travel 2.3 km on this road and then you need to walk down for about 100 meters to reach to fall. This is a motorable road.
Devil's Staircase & Bambarakanda Ohiya Sri lanka
The track through the Devils Staircase is one of the most popular hiking and jeep tracks in the hills of Sri Lanka. The difficulty levels and the spectacular view of the green mountains of Sri Lanka has made this a hikers paradise but only the most ardent hikers will undertake this 13 km hike.
Generally hikers choose the Bambarakanda Rest near Banbarakanda Ella Falls as the starting point to the journey if they wish to start the journey from this end. tallest waterfall in Sri Lanka. With a height of 263 m (863 ft), it ranks as the 299th highest waterfall in the world. This trail ends on the Ohiya – Horton Plains road around the halfway distance from Ohiya Railway Station the the Horton Plain Entrance. The tails is 13 km long from the Bambarakanda and would take approximately 4 hours to travel by a vehicle.
Haputhale Sri lanka
Haputale (හපුතලේ in Sinhala Language) is a town of Badulla District in the Uva Province, Sri Lanka, governed by an Urban Council. The elevation is 1431 m (4695 ft) above the sea level. The area has a rich bio-diversity dense with numerous varieties of flora and fauna. Haputale is surrounded by hills covered with cloud forests and tea plantations. CNN in 2010 named Haputale as one of Asia's most overlooked destinations.
