Hotel Review: Hampton By Hilton, Birmingham Broad Street, West Midlands, UK - January 2018
I stayed at the Hampton by Hilton Hotel on Birmingham's Broad Street for one night in January 2018. Two of us stayed in a double room with breakfast included for a total price of £93 booked with Hotels.com.
This film features an exterior hotel view from Broad Street, reception, a detailed room review of room 707 including the bathroom, and the breakfast buffet. The room was warm, comfortable and spacious. The bed was very comfortable, and I was very happy with the facilities.
The breakfast was excellent although very busy, we struggled to find a seat but eventually sat in what was actually the Business Lounge.
This was a great hotel, my main criticism is that check-out was early at 11am. A 12pm midday check-out is more typical in the UK, and I think that this hotel should abide by that. with that said I would still consider staying there again in future.

Hotel Review, Wellton Centrum Hotel & Spa, Riga, Latvia - December 2017
Hotel Review, Wellton Centrum Hotel & Spa, Riga, Latvia - December 2017.
I stayed at the Wellton Centrum Hotel and Spa in Riga, Latvia in December 2017. I stayed for 4 nights on a bed and breakfast basis, which cost £188 with Booking.com.
The hotel was very good quality, and this was quite a bargain price to pay. The bedroom was warm and comfortable with good facilities including plenty of plug sockets and a well-stocked mini-bar. The room seemed very modern, the bed was comfortable and there was a double wardrobe with safe. There was also a dressing table and TV.
The bathroom was modern and clean with a shower cubicle rather than a shower bath.
The restaurant was good and the breakfast buffet was superb.
The hotel has a spa including a swimming pool, this was nice but it cost extra to use. I only used it once because of this.
The hotel is well located for Riga Old Town and also the railway station.
I would definitely consider staying here again in future.
This film features views of the hotel exterior, as well as reception, lobby, fish tanks, a detailed bedroom review, the spa, restaurant and breakfast buffet.

London Travelcard [Featuring 2x Black Five Steam Locos] (14-12-2013)
We start at Hoxton, with its splendid view of The City before heading to Canonbury to see a Freightliner working pass through. We then head up to the GOBLIN Line where see freight and C2C services passing Woodgrange Park. The C2C services were diverted this way to serve Stratford's Westfield Shopping Centre. Nearby Maryland provides us with the usual mix of Greater Anglia traffic & also a Class 90 hauled Freightliner working. Pudding Mill Lane, which will soon be replaced by a new station, which doesnt look to afford such excellent views of the GEML is next before visits to Seven Kings, Romford & Emerson Park. After a brief visit to the Hammersmith & City Line (where 'S' Stock appears to dominate) we observe 1Z84 1717 Chichester to Southend Central, hauled by 2 Black Five Steam Locomotives pass a very wet Shepherds Bush and later in the trip calling at West Hampstead, this time hauled by Class 47. 47580.
North West London, North London, East London & The Emirates Air Line (19-09-2012)
We start in Willesden Junction, where we see plenty of passenger & freight traffic before
heading up to Headstone Lane where we cover more passenger & freight traffic.
Then it is over to the Midland Main Line at Hendon, Staples Corner & Cricklewood before concluding in East London with D78 stock at Barking & before taking a trip on the new Emirates Air Line Cable Car.
North London Freight (24-01-2014)
Our third trip of 2014 sees us on eastern end of the North London Line, observing the freight trains which make their way across this busy route. We also stop at Kentish Town, where an East Midlands Trains HST heads to Cricklewood for refuelling. After stops at Stratford & Maryland we head over to Ebbsfleet before making visits to Maidstone West & Maidstone Barracks. We conclude with short pauses at both Westenhanger & Ashford International.
