In this travel vlog we visit a secret medieval castle in a small village in Somerset called Nunney. Best of all, it was free! Then we found out another castle was closed and ended up at Sham castle looking over the city of Bath. This was the worst castle we have been to and we do not recommend it but there are plenty of castles to see and things to do in England.

At this point, we decided to go home and confront this problem head on. After 6 tough months at home we decided to go away again, but this time with a goal in mind.. to turn travel into a lifestyle.
Our time spent battling depression has influenced our outlook on life dramatically! We are now traveling the world in search of what makes us happy. In our vlogs, we talk openly and honestly about our travel experiences, the digital nomad life and depression. We hope our videos can help to inspire you to create a life that makes you happy!

Nunney Village Somerset England.
Nunney is a village and civil parish near Frome in the Mendip local government district within the English county of Somerset. The parish includes the hamlet of Holwell.
The name of the village comes from Old English and means Nunna's island.
Today, the tourist attractions are the ruins of Nunney Castle, a historic church, and ducks wandering the streets near the river. The village hall is host to Nunney Acoustic Cafe which provides live music, homemade food, a bar and children's art activities on the second Sunday of each month (except July and August).
On 30 September 2007, Nunney was the subject of a BBC Radio 4 report, asking whether the prettiest village in England is a place where we can learn how to mend our broken society.
Evidence of Roman settlement has been provided by the discovery of a hoard of Roman coins in 1869 at Westdown Farm and a villa with a mosaic floor.
Nunney is mentioned as a manor belonging to William de Moyon in the Domesday Book in 1086, but the book does not mention a castle.
The parish was part of the hundred of Frome.
For many years, from the medieval period until the 19th century, Nunney was the site of water-powered mills owned initially by the Hoddinotts and then by James Fussell.

Exeter is an ancient city on the River Exe in southwest England. Dating back to the Roman era, the Exeter City Walls surround its center and Gothic Exeter Cathedral.
Exeter Castle, a Norman landmark, overlooks leafy Northernhay and Rougemont Gardens. To their west, the Royal Albert Memorial Museum & Art Gallery (RAMM) displays fine art and costumes. The vaulted, medieval Underground Passages snake beneath the city.

Bidbury is a stunning small village that is an instagramers dream. After the excitement of all these villages, we saw the death of a pheasant.

We are an English travelling couple who met in Thailand, got engaged in Czech Republic and have continued to travel the world together ever since!
Our most recent challenge was leaving the UK with just £500 between us and the aim to create a sustainable travel lifestyle!
We work online and aim to spread the message of “Earn Less, Live More”, which encourages people to question their definition of success, and to pursue what makes them truly happy instead of chasing only money.
Creating this location independent lifestyle has helped us through depression and given us an incredible opportunity to make our lives more fulfilling. We want others to do the same and join us on this full time travel and digital nomad journey!

Aberaeron is a seaside resort town in Ceredigion, Wales. Situated between Aberystwyth and Cardigan, Aberaeron is home to the headquarters of Ceredigion County Council. The architecture of Aberaeron is unusual in this part of rural Wales, being constructed around a principal square of elegant Regency style buildings grouped around the harbour. This was the work of Edward Haycock, an architect from Shrewsbury. Some of the architecture was of sufficient interest to feature on British postage stamps.
Castell Cadwgan, a 12th-century ringwork fortification around a probable wooden structure, was located by the shore at Aberaeron, but has long since been claimed by the sea. Few traces remain today apart from some mounds of earth, the remains of the enclosure bank, most of the site having been eroded.
Aberaeron is located between Cardigan and Aberystwyth on the A487, at a junction with the A482 leading south-east to the university town of Lampeter. It lies on the Ceredigion Coast Path, part of the Wales Coast Path. The shoreline consists of generally steep storm beaches of pebbles, although fine sand is visible at low tide levels. Aberaeron south beach was awarded the Blue Flag rural beach award in 2005. It contains the Harbourmaster Hotel.
The railway service from the former Aberayron railway station (the terminus of the Lampeter, Aberayron and New Quay Light Railway, a branch of the Carmarthen to Aberystwyth Line) was closed to passengers in 1951 and to freight in 1965.

Our final day in Wales and we went looking for the best beaches in South Wales. We visited a few of the best natural spots in Pembrokeshire like the Green bridge of Wales and Stack Rocks. After we headed to St Govans Chapel, a cool find in a secret cove. Finally we went to Broadhaven beach, a stunning secluded beach on the South of Wales. Wales is a great way to get off the beaten path, even during a peak season it is still relatively untouched. This is a great stop on your UK travels and looking for something a bit unique.

Pontyclun is a village located in the County Borough of Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales. Like the surrounding towns, it has seen a sharp increase in its population in the last ten years as people migrate south from the South Wales Valleys, and west from the capital city of Cardiff.
Pontyclun translates from the Welsh language as 'bridge [over] the River Clun', the Clun being a tributary of the River Ely that runs through Pontyclun. A bridge crosses the Afon Clun just above its confluence with the Ely.
The village is served by Pontyclun railway station on the South Wales Main Line. It has its own local rugby club. The village falls under the remit of Pontyclun Community Council, which represents the communities of Brynsadler, Castell y Mwnws, Groes-faen, Miskin, Mwyndy, Pontyclun, Talygarn, and Ynysddu (recently added, previously Llanharan
It was the influx of workers for the iron ore and coal mining industries, together with the coming of the South Wales Railway (in 1851) that changed Pontyclun from a 20-acre (8.1 ha) farm with just four to five households into a burgeoning Victorian industrial town. The Coedcae Colliery (first listed in 1856) and the Bute iron ore mine (which opened in October 1852) caused the population growth. By 1871, the census returns record an influx of Cornish miners who had suffered from the collapse of the copper mining industry in Cornwall. By 1870 the industries of the area had been expanded by the coming of the Ely Tin Plate Works, The Pipe Works and The Steam Joinery Company.
Pontyclun has both a football and rugby union team. Pontyclun Football Club were formed in 1896 and joined the Football Association of Wales in 1922. Pontyclun Rugby Football Club (otherwise known as the Pontyclun Badgers), were formed in 1886 and joined the Welsh Rugby Union in 1887. Pontyclun has produced at least one Welsh international, Tommy Rees who later played rugby league for Great Britain, and Oldham.
Bethel Baptist Chapel was built circa 1876. Bethel relocated to Bethel Baptist Church Centre on Heol Miskin in 1993. Cwrt Bethel is on the site of the old chapel. St Paul's church, Pontyclun was erected in 1895 as a district church within the parish of Llantrisant. In 1924, the new parish of Pontyclun and Talygarn was constituted from the parish of Llantrisant. Bethel Baptist Church, Hope Presbyterian Church and St Paul's Church are still active places of worship.
