GETTING TO ROMBLON ISLAND - PHILIPPINES SECRET PARADISE
How to get to Romblon Island in the Philippines?
I flew from Los Angeles, USA to Manila, the Philippines and began what turned out to be a 5-day long journey to Romblon Island with endless local flights, boats, jeepney, and tricycle rides. It is not easy to get around in the Philippines, but as you can see in the video, it was absolutely worth it!
In order to reach Romblon Island, you’ll first need to get to the Romblon province. You can do this by flying from Manila to Tugdan Airport in Tablas (TBH) and taking a jeepney, trike, or van to San Agustin. Cebu Pacific operates this flight 3 days per week.
You may need to overnight on Tablas in order to take a pump boat over. They leave daily at 8am and 1pm from San Agustin and cost 100 pesos plus a 10 pesos terminal fee. I stayed on Tablas Island for a couple of nights and it was a great, relaxing break before I continued on my journey to my final destination, Romblon Island.
Alternatively, you can fly into Caticlan Airport, ferry from Caticlan to Odiongan, and take a jeepney from there to San Agustin. It’s also worth seeing if you can go directly from Odiongan to Romblon Island, as some ferries on some days of the week stop in Odiongan on the way, like Montenegro Lines.
You can also ferry from Batangas, which is 3 hours south of Manila by bus. This is a long option but it’s the cheapest.
If you are planning a trip to Romblon Island, be sure to bring ample cash with you - sometimes the ATM on the island might not work! For more information and a complete Romblon Island hopping itinerary, check this post out:

Arriving In Tablas - Our First Time To Romblon Province, Philippines
So finally we left batangas and made the long trip to tablas island which is our first time visiting romblon province in the middle of the philippines.
To get from batangas port to odiongan tablas island took 7 hours by 2GO boat and cost around 2000 pesos for 2 people. On arriving in odiongan you will then need to take a tricycle to your accomodation. We stayed at footprints beach resort which was around 40 minutes ride away and cost 350 pesos.
Tablas island is very big and you will definitly need to rent a scooter or motorbike to get around, Many beaches and day trips and island hopping are scatterd all over the island and can take as long as 45 minutes to drive to each place depending on were you are staying.
We have waited a long long time to finally make it to romblon province and we have a really good feeling about this province and we know we are going to find some crazy hidden gems here in this part of the philippines.
Our very first day in tablas was very grey and overcast so we decided to take a rest day and just sit on the beach at our resort and relax so we hope you enjoy

DISCOVER CARABAO ISLAND PHILIPPINES :The NEXT PARADISE TO BORACAY
Erica, a Japanese girl, had her summer vacation in the Philippines with her mom. From Manila, they went to Tablas Island via Cebu Pacific Airline, an hour trip. They stayed at her grandparents' house in Odiongan, the biggest town on the island, and enjoyed the swimming pool at Odiongan Sato Hotel and Resort and loved the hamburger at Jollibee fast food restaurant.
They also went to Binukot Beach Resort in Ferrol, about an hour from Odiongan town, to enjoy the beach. Then, they also visited her uncle's place in Sta. Fe. They were served with fresh seafoods and fresh coconut. Then, they hiked up the mountains and swam at the beach.
After a nice stay in Sta. Fe, they went to Carabao Island, an hour trip by boat from Sta. Fe. Her relatives welcomed her and prepared a sumptuous meal. Then after getting enough rest, they headed to Cathedral Cave and Cliff for sightseeing. Her cousins wanted to dive from the cliff but the waves were so strong. After that, they went to Tan-agan Picnic Grove, a beautiful beach resort with white fine sand and clear and calm water. The kids enjoyed finding starfishes at the beach. They stayed at their relative's house overnight and went back to Sta. Fe in the morning. At around 6 am, while on the boat, they saw a dolphin pod swimming freely in the sea, it was so fast we couldn't catch it on camera.
Carabao Island has still a lot of places to explore. It is around 40-min-trip by boat from Boracay Island, the nearest famous island.
Please visit this site to get the detailed information how to get to Carabao Island.
Looc Fish Sanctuary Tablas - The Best Snorkelling Spot In Romblon
Welcome to looc fish sanctuary which is possibly the best snorkelling spot in tablas island and maybe even romblon province.
Looc fish sanctuary is located in the south of the island not to far from binucot beach so took us around 1 hour to get here. On arrival you can go to the local bakery to buy bread to feed the fish (recommended) because there will be hundreds of fish swimming around you which looks amazing.
The boat price to looc fish sanctuary is around 700 pesos for the boat or you may be lucky and meet with joiners to share the costs. From the looc office you can hire snorkels and life vests and anything else you need.
The boat ride is just 10 minutes away and the water is to die for, its bright blue and so clear. The currents are a little strong so if you are not a strong swimmer we advise to rent the life jacket.
Looc fish sanctuary offers some of the best snorkeling we have seen anywhere in the philippines because of the clarity of the water and the amount of fish and star fish you see. looc offers perfect photo opportunities to.
All in all it was a very nice and cheap day to looc fish sanctuary in the south of tablas island and we highly recommend this place for snorkelling if you are in romblon province.
Philippines Street Food - AMAZING Filipino Food at Aling Sosing's Carinderia in Manila!
One of the best Filipino food meals you can eat in Manila!
►Subscribe to my channel for more food videos:
Aling Sosing's is often considered to be one of the best carinderias, or local Filipino food restaurants, in all of Manila. The crowd that shows up to eat lunch here everyday reinforces the fact that they are no doubt one of the spots you want to be in Manila, if you’re a food lovers. When I was eating in Manila, eating at Aling Sosing's was certainly among the best local Filipino food restaurants that I tried.
Aling Sosing's is a very typical type of local street food restaurant, sitting on the corner of a street, near to Makati. Just like most carinderias, all the food is prepared ahead of time, and sits at the front of the restaurant. When you arrive to order, you just simply pick and choose the different dishes that you want to order, find a table, and they will bring you the dishes to your table. Additionally, some of the famous dishes to eat at Aling Sosing's are off the grill, and you’ll smell the wonderful aroma of the grilling meats the entire time you’re eating, and it’s fantastic.
Ying and I arrived about 11 am on a weekday, and luckily we beat the main lunch traffic, but just barely. There were tables available when we arrived, but as soon as we sat down and order it filled up. Sof if you eat at Aling Sosing's Carinderia you might want to arrive before the main lunch rush. Additionally, some of the Filipino food dishes sell out fast, and they don’t cook them again for the day - once they are sold out, they are done for the day.
Here are the main Filipino dishes I ordered:
Pinakbet - A stew of mixed vegetables, oftentimes flavored with shrimp paste. This was the best versions of pinakbet I’ve ever had.
Inihaw na tilapia - The grilled tilapia is quite well known at this restaurant. It was simple and delicious.
Inihaw na liempo - The grilled pork belly is one of their signature dishes, and it’s every bit as good and smoky as it looks.
Kaldereta - A Filipino food I love so much is kaldereta, a goat stew, mainly because I love goat so much. It was oily, but really good.
Adobong pusit - I saw the squid the pot and decided to try it out. It was a little on the sweet side.
Pork BBQ - Fresh off the grill, Ying and I ordered some of their pork bbq. The pork was tender and lathered in bbq, it was amazing.
Total price - 640 PHP ($12.90)
If you’re looking for a local Filipino restaurant in Manila that I think serves some of the best Filipino food, Aling Sosing's is a restaurant you’re going to want to check out. The food is awesome, the setting and positive atmosphere is refreshing, and the constant smoke from the grill will keep your nose happy and wanting more!

Nonok Beach - The Second Best Beach On Romblon Island, Philippines
Welcome to nonok beach which we would say is the second best beach or most popular beach on romblon island in the philippines
Nonok beach is located just 10 minutes motor bike ride away from the main town on romblon island.
To access nonok beach you must pay a entrance fee of 50 pesos per person which is well worth it because this beach is incredible... Bonbon beach may be the most famous but nonok is the beach you would rather relax on.
The water as usual in the philippines is crystal clear and really good for snorkelling and the beach is really good with plenty of shade around under trees or under shelter
Nonok beach is probably the most underrated beach in romblon island and is most definitely worthy of top rankings for the best beaches in the philippines
