Its beach is part of the Olympian Riviera. The Thermian Gulf is situated to the east. The entire coastline is sand. The Olympiaki Akti is located 2 km S of Paralia, 5 km E of Katerini, SE of Veria, 70 km S of Thessaloniki and the Makedonia International Airport, N of Larissa, NNW of Athens, NE of Tyrnavos, NE of Mount Olympus and 150 km NE of Kalampaka. The popualation of the settlement was 320 people as of 2011.

Ovog leta je pala odluka: Letovaćemo u Grčkoj. Po prvi put. Kao svi lepo vaspitani turisti okupili smo se ispred Sava centra i sa agencijom AQUA TRAVEL krenuli na put. Pravac Grčka – Olympic Beach! Olimpic Beach je letovalište u Grčkoj u podnožju Olimpa, sedamdesetak kilometara udaljeno od Solune i oko sedamstotina kilometara od Beograda, a samo tri kolometara od Paralije. Imali smo sreće i nismo dugo čekali na graničnim prelazima i posle 12 sati, stigli smo na odredište... Klima blaga, a ulice prepune restorana, taverni i šarenih butika.
Gde će naš čovek prvo nego da nabavi namirnice. Nema klasične pijace, već se namirnice prodaju u mnogobrojnim piljarnicama. Cene kao u Beogradu, pa i jeftinije, što možete da vidite. Sportska disciplina broj dva kada su naši turisti u pitanju je šoping. Cene su kao kod naših Kineza u Bloku sedamdeset. Ponuda raznovrsna, roba šarena kao na vašaru... Sa Grcima se sjajno ne sporazumevate ni na jednom svetskom jeziku ... Jer, Grci pišu na Grčkom, govore Grčki... smeju se na Grčkom... ali se sve, na kraju, savršeno razume... A onda na red dođe i sunčanje i kupanje.... Plaže prepune ljudi i sve funkcioniše po principu dve ležaljke, suncobran i dva pića oko 6 evra... za ceo dan.
Od mnogobrojnih ponuđenih ekskurzija mi smo odabrali krstarenje piratskim brodićem Dafni.... I jedino smo odatle uspeli da snimimo Olimp, koji se gotovo sve vreme krio u oblacima, čuvajući tajne svojih drevnih Bogova. A na brodiću atmosfera bajna...
U Grčkoj je glavna hrana njegovo visočanstvo Giros. I tu su Grci zaista pravi majstori.... Deset dana na moru protutnji kao tri kod kuće... I tako... došlo je vreme za povratak u Beograd. U koferu mnogo uspomena, poneki suvenir i krpica... a od planete Zemlje jedan sat nazad - gratis
