Otopeni is a city in Ilfov County, Romania, some 15 km north of Bucharest along the road to Ploiești. It has 15,850 inhabitants, of which 99.0% are Romanians. One village, Odăile, is administered by the city. Henri Coandă International Airport is located inside Otopeni. The head office of the airline TAROM is located inside the International Departures Terminal in the airport. In addition the head office of Țiriac Air is in Otopeni.

    Snagov is a commune, located 40 km north of Bucharest in Ilfov County, Romania. According to the 2002 census, 99.2% of the population is ethnic Romanian. The commune is composed of five villages: Ciofliceni, Ghermănești, Snagov, Tâncăbești and Vlădiceasca. Snagov is a tourist and spa resort - but the necessary infrastructure has regressed after 1989.

    Comana is a commune in Giurgiu County, southern Romania. It is composed of five villages: Comana, Vlad Țepeș, Budeni, Falaștoaca and Grădiștea. The commune is approximately 32 kilometers south of Bucharest. Comana Monastery is located in the commune, as is Comana Nature Park, the largest protected area in southern Romania. On the night of 6 to 7 of May 1944 a British bomber crash-landed at Comana. The aircrew were killed.

    The Chindia Tower is a tower in the Curtea Domnească monuments ensemble in Târgovişte, Romania, built in the 15th century. The tower was begun during the second reign of Prince Vlad III the Impaler over Wallachia and took its final form during the 19th century. It initially had a military purpose, but during its history, it has been used as a guard point, a fire spotter, and for storing and protecting the state treasury. Between 1847 and 1851, the Chindia Tower was completely restored by Gheorghe Bibescu who added 5 metres to its height. The building in its current form has a height of 27 metres and a diameter of 9 metres .
