Ischia The Hidden Paradise Part I. Sant'Angelo,Panza,Casamicciola (TravellingFromNaples+Travel info)

In this video we are wandering around in the south part of this beautiful island. To get to Ischia you basically need to fly to Naples. That's the closest airport anyway. It's quite easy to get to Ischia from Naples Molo Beverello. From the airport you can get on a bus (€5) to the port. I'd recommend to buy ferry tickets online in advance.
I've used but there are more options out there. Prices are pretty much the same. (€40/person return, 2018)
After you purchase your ticket they send an email confirmation which you have to print out. With that conf. you can collect your tickets at the port. Each ferry company has its own stall next to each other. It says in the confirmation that you have to be there 1 hour before the ferry leaves but no one asked us anything, could have got there just 10 mins before departure.
It takes about 1 hour to get to Casamicciola Terme, Ischia. From there (2mins from the port) you can catch a bus (they run till late night) for about €2 (You can buy tickets from the driver). It takes about 30-40mins to get to the south part of the island where Panza and Sant'Angelo are. It's truly a beautiful island and there are many many things to do.
I've downloaded an App (Ischia Island Travel Guide) which helped me a lot to get around and search for things to do.

Ischia Island, Italy, History & Tourism
Ischia is a volcanic island in the Tyrrhenian Sea. It is almost entirely mountainous; the highest peak is Mount Epomeo, at 788 metres. The town is divided in two. Ischia Porto is the harbor district and commercial center of the island. and Ischia Ponte, the historic quarter, with its ancient castle and its stone streets. It is the largest of the three islands off the coast of Naples, (Procida, Capri and Ischia).
LOCATION
It lies at the northern end of the Gulf of Naples, about 30 kilometres from the city of Naples. It measures approximately 10 km east to west and 7 km north to south and has about 34 km of coastline.
POPULATION
The island is very densely populated, with 60,000 residents. More than 1,300 inhabitants per square km. And every year Up to 6 million tourists visit to the island for its volcanic thermal spas and as well for its beaches and food.
TOURISM
Ischia's main industry is tourism. Tourists eager to enjoy the fruits of the island's natural volcanic activity, its hot springs, and its volcanic mud. Most visitors head straight for the north-coast towns of Ischia Porto, Ischia Ponte, Forio and Lacco Ameno. Of these, Ischia Porto boasts the best bars, while Forio and Lacco Ameno the prettiest spas and gardens. Every summer Italian families flock to Ischia's beaches in their thousands. Ischia a popular destination for German tourists.
HOW TO GO
The island is easily reached by ferries and hydrofoils from Naples.
HISTORY
Ischia is part of a large volcanic area that was very active in the distant past, and its rocks and mountains bear witness to their volcanic formation. In the eighth century BC, Ischia was colonised by the Greeks, and belonged for a time to Gerone of Syracuse (Siracusa), who built a fortress on the spot of the present Castello Aragonese. Repeated earthquakes and eruptions finally caused the Greek colonists to leave the island. In Roman times, the island belonged to the Emperor Augustus, who gave it to the Neapolitans in return for Capri. Earthquakes have been more common in recent centuries, and a large earthquake in 1883 destroyed many of the island's historic buildings.

Best Time & Places To Travel Ischia, Italy
BEST TIME TO VISIT
The best time for the traveler to visit Ischia is from April to October, however, the weather in Ischia is always changing and visitors should expect both sunshine and rain — whatever the season.
Summer, the main tourist season, combines long, hot days with lengthy evenings. Winter can be bitterly cold and wet, with short daylight hours. Italians take their holidays in July and August, so the island fills up and hotel prices rise in this period.
For more space on the beaches try visiting outside these months. Some hotels close and ferries are scarcer in winter months.

This walk begins at San Pietro Beach and continues along the shoreline through Fisherman's Beach, and La Mandra Beach. At La Mandra beach you'll have a great view of Castello Aragonese. The walk continues through Ischia Ponte (Borgo di Celsa) and ends at Piazzale Aragonese. The walk continues in Part 3 with a tour of Castello Aragonese. Thanks for watching!
I use my phone as a video monitor while I walk and while walking on San Pieteo beach I viewed a text message and it caused and error on my Gopro and I lost the last 5 minutes of walking along the beach.
World Travel Map: Mexico with Ruban Maryna
Mexico is a federal republic in North America. It is bordered on the north by the United States; on the south and west by the Pacific Ocean; on the southeast by Guatemala, Belize, and the Caribbean Sea; and on the east by the Gulf of Mexico. Covering almost two million square kilometres (over 760,000 sq mi),[12] Mexico is the fifth largest country in the Americas by total area and the 13th largest independent nation in the world. With an estimated population of over 113 million,[14] it is the eleventh most populous and the most populous Spanish-speaking country in the world and the second most populous country in Latin America. Mexico is a federation comprising thirty-one states and a Federal District, its capital and largest city.
Chichen Itza (/tʃiːˈtʃɛn iːˈtsɑː/,[1] Spanish: Chichén Itzá [tʃiˈtʃen iˈtsa], from Yucatec Maya: Chi'ch'èen Ìitsha' [tɕʰɨɪʼtɕʼeːn˧˩ iː˧˩tsʰaʲ];[2] at the mouth of the well of the Itza) was a large pre-Columbian city built by the Maya people of the Terminal Classic period. The archaeological site is located in the municipality of Tinum, in the Mexican state of Yucatán.[3]
Chichen Itza was a major focal point in the Northern Maya Lowlands from the Late Classic (c. AD 600–900) through the Terminal Classic (c. AD 800–900) and into the early portion of the Postclassic period (c. AD 900–1200). The site exhibits a multitude of architectural styles, reminiscent of styles seen in central Mexico and of the Puuc and Chenes styles of the Northern Maya lowlands. The presence of central Mexican styles was once thought to have been representative of direct migration or even conquest from central Mexico, but most contemporary interpretations view the presence of these non-Maya styles more as the result of cultural diffusion.
Chichen Itza was one of the largest Maya cities and it was likely to have been one of the mythical great cities, or Tollans, referred to in later Mesoamerican literature.[4] The city may have had the most diverse population in the Maya world, a factor that could have contributed to the variety of architectural styles at the site.[5]
The ruins of Chichen Itza are federal property, and the site’s stewardship is maintained by Mexico’s Instituto Nacional de Antropología e Historia (National Institute of Anthropology and History). The land under the monuments had been privately owned until 29 March 2010, when it was purchased by the state of Yucatán.[nb 1]
Chichen Itza is one of the most visited archaeological sites in Mexico; an estimated 1.2 million tourists visit the ruins every year.
The Maya site may formerly have been known by the name Zama, meaning City of Dawn, because it faces the sunrise. Tulum stands on a bluff facing east towards the Caribbean Sea. Tulúm is also the Yucatan Mayan word for fence, wall[1] or trench, and the walls surrounding the site allowed the Tulum fort to be defended against invasions. Tulum had access to both land and sea trade routes, making it an important trade hub, especially for obsidian. From numerous depictions in murals and other works around the site, Tulum appears to have been an important site for the worship of the Diving or Descending god.[1] Tulum had an estimated population of 1,000 to 1,600 inhabitants.
Tulum was first mentioned by Juan Díaz, a member of Juan de Grijalva's Spanish expedition of 1518, the first Europeans to spot Tulum.[1] The first detailed description of the ruins was published by John Lloyd Stephens and Frederick Catherwood in 1843 in the book Incidents of Travel in Yucatan. As they arrived from the sea, Stephens and Catherwood first saw a tall building that impressed them greatly, most likely the great Castillo of the site. They made accurate maps of the site’s walls, and Catherwood made sketches of the Castillo and several other buildings. Stephens and Catherwood also reported an early classic stele at the site, with an inscribed date of AD 564 (now in the British Museum's collection), which is interpreted to mean that it was most likely built elsewhere and brought to Tulum to be reused.[2]
