The Saint Augustine Church , commonly known as the Paoay Church, is the Roman Catholic church of the municipality of Paoay, Ilocos Norte in the Philippines. Completed in 1710, the church is famous for its distinct architecture highlighted by the enormous buttresses on the sides and back of the building. It is declared as a National Cultural Treasure by the Philippine government in 1973 and a UNESCO World Heritage Site under the collective group of Baroque Churches of the Philippines in 1993.

Paoay Lake, locally known as Dacquel a Danum , is a lake in the municipality of Paoay in northwestern Luzon in the Philippines. It is the largest lake in the province of Ilocos Norte and one of the largest natural lakes in the area. Historically known as Lago de Nanguyudan, the lake supposedly was the site of a prosperous barangay called San Juan de Sahagún that sank after an earthquake. The freshwater lake and its 1-kilometre surroundings was declared a national park in 1969 by virtue of Republic Act 5631. In 1978, through Presidential Decree 1554, the park was reduced to an area of 340 hectares concentrated on the lake itself around its highest water level.

Cape Bojeador Lighthouse, also known as Burgos Lighthouse, is a cultural heritage structure in Burgos, Ilocos Norte, that was established during the Spanish Colonial period in the Philippines. The lighthouse was first lit on March 30, 1892, and is set high on Vigia de Nagpartian Hill overlooking the scenic Cape Bojeador where early galleons used to sail by. After over 100 years, it still functions and serves ships that enter the Philippine Archipelago from the north and guide them safely away from the rocky coast of the town.The light marks the northwestern-most point in Luzon. The northeastern-most being Cape Engaño Lighthouse on Palaui Island, Santa Ana, Cagayan. The Ferdinand E. Marcos Presidential Center is a museum situated in Batac, Ilocos Norte dedicated to former Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos which also hosts the cenotaph of the former President. The museum shows memorabilia of the late president, from his stint in the armed forces down to his presidency. The large cenotaph which contains the glass-encased coffin in which the widely believed embalmed body of Marcos was on public display shortly after his remains were brought in Ilocos Norte from the United States in 1993 until his body was re-interred at the Heroes' Cemetery in Taguig on November 18, 2016. A wax replica of Marcos remains to be displayed inside the glass coffin.

Laoag City Adventure | Couple Travel Vlog | Ilocos, Philippines | Episode 4

Our first stop was the Laoag Sand dunes adventure. We arrived at the sand dunes at 7 am, in our opinion; it was the perfect time to do this activity. The sun was up and bright but not too hot to be uncomfortable. This was the highlight of our Ilocos adventure. After our 1 hour sand dunes ride, it was now time to do sand boarding. By this time, it was now pretty hot and although going down the sand was really fun, the climb uphill was really exhausting. There used to be a ladder to make the climb easier but it was destroyed by a typhoon. We bought a souvenir photo to remember our sand dunes adventure. After the sand activities, we ate a quick breakfast at a Chinese place then went to the Malacanang of the North. Malacanang of the North is a huge estate owned by former president Marcos. After a quick tour, we went to Paoay lake and took more pictures then head to Paoay church. We took our time in Paoay Church, had a chance to try out the halo-halo of Ilocos coolers then left for Marcos mausoleum. We only spent about 5 minutes visiting his tomb. Aries then took us at a nearby road where Vigan bound buses was passing by. From there, we continued on for 2 hours going to Vigan.
