Another vlog from here in Goa, India in which we dress up traditionally and Scott Rankin looks a little bit like Apu from Aladdin.
This trip to Goa has been interesting, for sure. But, maybe not for the reasons I expected. I thought we'd be spending a lot more time exploring and seeing things, but somehow we've actually just spent a lot of time in cars and at press events.
This day, we were at another event which was a Fenny tasting. Fenny is a local Goan drink that they seem to be pushing really hard. Personally, I don't think it's great. It's sweet, and tastes alright with fruit juice, but it's a bit pungent. But, I guess when you're dressed like Apu from Aladdin, you pretty much just have to drink whatever they give you.
In the afternoon, we headed back to our hotel - which is called Casa Britona - and got out of our Apu from Aladdin outfits and into the pool. From the pool, I got some photo editing done. Then, we headed out into the area around Casa Britona here in Goa to do some street photography before the sun went down.
It was a pretty good day, but I definitely wouldn't call it a productive one.
I've got one or two more vlogs from here in Goa, and then it's off to explore other parts of the world.
This part of Goa is sold.. Where else?

Ride on the Buriganga River in Dhaka, Bangladesh
19 May 2016 - After watching all the action at the Sadarghat, I hired one of the rowboats at ther port and went on a sometimes leisurely, sometimes choppy ride on the waters of the Buriganga River, just enjoying the views of the city on both sides of the river. It was fascinating to watch all the boats transporting people and cargo across the river, to see the launches (large passenger ships) docked at the terminal, and just take in being in one of the most crowded cities and countries in the world! My captain was really great, offering to take me up and down the river, even passing under some cargo ships. The experience was a glimpse into the everyday life of many people in Dhaka ...
