Attempt to drive Sedlo Pass (Prevoj Sedlo) in April
Prevoj Sedlo is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 1.907m (6,256ft) above the sea level, located in the Durmitor, a massif and the name of a national park in northwestern Montenegro.
The road over the pass links the municipalities of Žabljak and Plužine. It’s one of the most spectacular roads in Montenegro. On the summit there are fantastic views on both sides, with a nice panorama of the Valovito Jezero lake and the sharp rock of Stožina (1,905 m). The road is winding, in some places only wide enough for one vehicle and unprotected by guardrails. It’s the highest paved mountain pass in the country. The road, althoug narrow, is completely paved now and when you travel off-season, the silence – and beauty – of nature is absolute. It's called P14. The road winds up steeply through a labyrinth of small tunnels. Road is mostly cut into the rock face, there are numerous switchback corners, numerous tunnels and few intersections. Now, combine those elements and you end up with crazy combo. Hairpin trough a tunnel with intersection somewhere in the middle of it all.
