Amazing Sabah: Top Things To Do | Visit Malaysia | FCX
In this exclusive video by Star2 and TheStarTV, features reporter Sheela Chandran takes in the wild and adventurous soul of Sabah, from rugged mountaintops to lush rainforests to pure shores, as she travels from Kota Kinabalu to Sandakan.
At the Mari Mari Cultural Village, five indigenous groups – Kadazan-Dusun, Bajau, Murut, Lundayeh and Rungus – showcase their tribal traditions. Over at Kinabalu Park, Malaysia's first World Heritage Site, you can hike up to Low's Peak on Mount Kinabalu and be rewarded with a magnificent view. There's also the Mt Kinabalu Botanical Garden, with over 800 species of plant life, and Poring Hot Springs, where the mineral pools are said to have therapeutic properties.
From KK, she travels to Ranau to the Sabah Tea Garden, the only organic tea plantation on Borneo, and then she's off to Kundasang War Memorial, built in honour of Australian and British soldiers who died in the notorious death marches of WWII. If you can, catch the scenery at Desa Cattle Dairy Farm, and don't miss eating the local fruits at the street markets along the way. A must try is tarap, which is native to Borneo.
After that, our filming crew is in Sandakan to visit the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre, which has been rescuing orphaned orangutan since 1964, and the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre. We also stop over at the Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary.

Two Weeks in Borneo - Travel Postcard Malaysia
A short film I created from the two weeks I spent travelling around Sabah, Borneo, in July 2016.
Trip highlights seen in this film:
- Staying in the jungle alongside the Kinabatangan River, with lots of wildlife to be seen on the banks, including a wild herd of Elephants we came across.
- Selingan Turtle Island
- Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre
- Gomantong caves
- Kinabalu Park / Poring Hot Springs
All shot handheld on a Panasonic GH4 with the 12-35mm F/2.8 vario lens and variable ND.
Mainly shot in 1080p at 50fps for the slow motion. Darker scenes are shot in 4K and downscaled to 1080p for better low light images.
Edited and graded in Adobe Premiere CC

I immediately set off my journey to this place. Upon reaching there, I found that only one to two guests are there. It was in weekend and yet no many people are here. It is truly a place in Malaysia that even local don't know about.
This place is called Jelita Ostrich Farm. It is situated in Negeri Sembilan near to Seremban. As the name implies, this is an Ostrich Farm. You can come into close proximity to Ostrich and even feed them and ride them. Beside Ostrich, there are other animals too such as goats, bull, ducks and flamingo.
Jelita Ostrich Farm Malaysia is truly a magnificent place. A truly hidden gem in Malaysia. Come here to enjoy over the weekend and this could be one of things to do in Malaysia. You wont regret it. One more tips, Google Maps location will send to to backdoor which unable to access to main entrance. You need to access via Jalan Jelebu and going through Jabatan Perkhidmatan Veterinar Negeri Sembilan.
