Porto Rafti, Attica Greece
Porto Rafti or otherwise known as Limani Mesogaias is a seaside town an approximate 30klm from Athens and very close to Athens International Airport.
Its port was known from ancient times as the ancient Prasiai and there are still some archaeological findings in the area that proves the existence of an ancient establishment. During WWII, Porto Rafti was heavily fortified by German Occupation Forces by bunkers for fear of a possible military beach landing.
Now it is a place where people relax enjoying the sea while having their coffee or their dinner in the nearby coffee shops and restaurants.
