  • 1. Markovi Kuli (Marko's Towers) Prilep
    Markovi Kuli or Marko's Towers are situated to the northwest of Prilep, Macedonia just above the village of Varoš. The towers named after Serbian medieval Prince Marko Mrnjavčević are located on a 120–180 m high hill, surrounded by steep slopes covered with minute granite stones. The upper part of the former settlement can be reached from its north and south side. During the four-decade archaeological research, remnants indicating the existence of an early antique settlement — Keramija, were found. In the Roman period, this small village expanded into the southwest, a fact suggested by the several marble ornaments of an early Christian basilica.   • 2. Treskavec Monastery Prilep
    The Monastery of Treskavec , or St. Bogorodica, is a monastery situated on the rocky Mount Zlatovrv, 8 km north of Prilep, in the Republic of Macedonia. Built in the 12th century, it currently has only one monk.The monastery possesses a large collection of Byzantine frescoes. The oldest remaining date from the 15th century. It was rebuilt in the 14th century by Serbian kings Stefan Milutin and Stefan Dušan. In the mid-16th century it was renovated by knez Dimitrije Pepić of Kratovo.However, the monastery was destroyed by a fire in the early 2010s and, apart from the church, it is now in ruins. As of 2015, no restoration work has been launched by the Macedonian government.The monastery was the burial place of Serbian noblemen Dabiživ Čihorić and Gradislav Borilović.

    Zrze Monastery is located near the village Zrze, approx. 25km north-west of Prilep , Republic of Macedonia. The numerous remnants of the ancient period-pillars, basilica remains, and other exponents speak of the rich cultural tradition, of this area. Traditionally the monks lived in carved out stone hollows, from the mountain side cliffs. This is believed to date back to the 3rd and 4th century. Today, Zrze monastery complex consists of the church St. Petar and Pavle, the inns and several accessory rooms.     Mound of the Unbeaten is a World War II memorial in the Park of the Revolution, Prilep, Republic of Macedonia. The monument and memorial complex were built in 1961 in honor to the martyrs and fallen fighters of the People's Liberation Struggle in Macedonia. Author of the memorial complex is Serbian architect Bogdan Bogdanović. The complex consists of memorial Urns and the common graves of fallen soldiers. Urns are constructed from marble, and reminiscent of the antique urns.     The Lordship of Prilep, also known as the Lordship of King Marko , was one of the provinces of the Serbian Empire, centered around the city of Prilep and covering the region of Pelagonia and surrounding areas in western parts of the present-day Republic of Macedonia. In the middle of 14th century, the region was held by lord Vukašin Mrnjavčević, who in 1365 became Serbian king and co-ruler of Serbian emperor Stefan Uroš V .     Ilinden, also known as Makedonium , is a monument in Kruševo, Republic of Macedonia. It was officially opened on August 2 of 1974, on the 30th anniversary of the Second Session of the Anti-fascist Assembly for the National Liberation of Macedonia and the 71st anniversary of Ilinden uprising. The designers of the monument are Jordan Grabuloski and Iskra Grabuloska. It is dedicated to all the fighters and revolutionaries who participated in the Ilinden uprising of 1903, as well as soldiers-partisans of the Macedonia National Liberation Struggle 1941-1944.
