One day in the historic sanctuary of MachuPicchu. An excellent choice to visit one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World and enjoy the natural beauty that surrounds Machupicchu.
MACHUPICCHU
• Early in the morning, we will start the journey to Machupicchu (the village of Aguas Calientes exactly) for our tour in the enigmatic citadel. The travel to MachuPicchu will be by train and bus.
• Return to Cusco city from Machupicchu at night. (The whole tour lasts all day from 6 to 8 pm.)
Description of the Travel Package -- Machupicchu one day
We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and take you to the railway station (train from Cusco city to Machupicchu). After four hours on the train, we will arrive in the station of Aguas Calientes (town where Machupicchu is located), where the guide will be waiting for us. We will board a bus and take a quick, 30-minute trip, climbing a zigzagging path, to the incredible Citadel of Machu Picchu where you will have a guided tour of the Sanctuary of Machupicchu. You will visit the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows and the cemeteries. The tour will take around two hours, after which you are free to stroll around the Citadel. Have lunch in a restaurant in Aguas Calientes or, if you want, in the hotel Sanctuary Lodge. Once we finish our tour of the enigmatic citadel of Machupicchu, we will return to Cusco in the afternoon.

The package includes transportation to and from Aguas Calientes by train, to and from Machupicchu by bus, an admission tickets, a professional guided tour in both English and Spanish.
The tour of Machupicchu in one day does not include: The travel package does not include drinks, phone calls, snacks, lunch, or airplane tickests, but we can add you to the package.
What is needed for the trip to Machupicchu... It is recommended to bring mosquito repellant, sunscreen, hats, water, snacks, cameras and a raincoat or umbrella.

South America 2010 Part 1 - Rio de Janeiro & Florianopolis
The first part of my trip through Brazil and Argentina started in Rio de Janeiro where I made a stop over on my way to Florianopolis. Rio was first encountered in 1502 but properly founded by the Portuguese in 1565. The city has been the capital from 1763 to 1960. Beside laying in the sun at Copacabana Beach I didn't do much, so have to go back someday. Florianopolis is the capital of the southern State Santa Catarina. The city It is composed of one large main island a small continental part and some surrounding small islands. Around 1514 the Portuguese landed for the first time but the official settlement of the island began in 1673 and till 1893 got the name Nossa Senhora do Desterro (Our Lady of Banishment). Newsweek placed Florianópolis in the Ten most dynamic cities of the world list and called it the best place to live in Brazil. I stayed with Flavio de Medeiros, an old friend who I hadn't seen in 15 years.
