PUNTA SABBIONI'S BEACH
Punta Sabbioni is on the west coast of the Cavallino- Treporti peninsula, about 40 km west of Lido di Jesolo. It is a major ferry port for visiting Venice, with an ample car park.
The beach is about 2 km from the ferry terminal. You can take a bus from the ferry terminal to the beach, or you can park your car near the beach for a few euros.
Personally i like this beach because it is not too busy and is not commercialised. There is a small restaurant with toilet facilities.
Venice by Night - Italy 4K Travel Channel
During a break on our ramble through Venice, we met a nice man in a cafe. After he learned that we are travel video bloggers, he offered us a boat tour through Venice by night. Of course, we agreed joyfully. We arranged a meeting point on Calle Seconda de la Fava at 22.30. At the agreed time, we meet the captain with his boat. We go along the Rio de San Giovanni Laterano, turn into the Rio de S. Lorenzo and reach the pier with its ferry terminals. Then we drive into the Rio de Palazzo o de Canonica and go underneath the Bridge of Sighs.
Two more canals lead us to the Oratorio Santa Maria della Salute church. From here we drive along the Rio del Piombo and the Rio de la Fava to the Rialto Bridge. Via the Rio de la Fava and the Rio de Santa Marina, we return to our starting point. But here we turn north and pass the Basilica dei Santi Giovanni e Paolo and the Hospital Ospedale Civile SS.
Then the captain brings us back to the ferry terminal where we catch the last ferry to Punta Sabbioni on time.
The boat ride through the nocturnal Venice is certainly a highlight, for which we are extremely grateful to the captain. The play of light and shadow, as well as the reflections in the quiet canal water, create a medieval atmosphere, which is almost indescribable.

Als wir am Nachmittag bei unseren Streifzügen in einem Café eine Rast einlegten, lernten wir einen netten Mann kennen, der uns, nachdem er erfahren hatte, dass wir Reisevideoblogger sind, anbot, eine nächtliche Bootstour durch Venedig zu machen. Natürlich sagten wir voller Freude zu.
Wir vereinbarten einen Treffpunkt in der Calle Seconda de la Fava um 22.30. Pünktlich zu vereinbarten Zeit treffen wir den Kapitän mit seinem Boot. Wir fahren den Rio de San Giovanni Laterano entlang, biegen in den Rio de S. Lorenzo ein und erreichen die Hafenmole mit ihren Fährterminals. Danach fahren wir in den Rio de Palazzo o de Canonica und fahren unter der Seufzerbrücke hindurch.
Über zwei weitere Kanäle erreichen wir die Kirche Oratorio Santa Maria della Salute. Von hier aus fahren wir über den Rio del Piombo und den Rio de la Fava zur Rialtobrücke. Über den Rio de la Fava und den Rio de Santa Marina erreichen wir wieder unseren Ausgangspunkt biegen hier aber nach Norden ab und passieren die Basilica dei Santi Giovanni e Paolo und das Krankenhaus Ospedale Civile SS.
Von hier aus bringt uns der Kapitän wieder zurück zum Fährterminal, wo wir pünktlich die letzte Fähre erreichen, die uns nach Punta Sabbioni bringt.
Die Fahrt durch das nächtliche Venedig ist sicherlich ein Höhepunkt, für den wir dem Kapitän außerordentlich dankbar sind. Die Licht- und Schattenspiele, sowie die Reflexionen im ruhigen Kanalwasser erzeugen eine mittelalterliche Atmosphäre, die nahezu unbeschreiblich ist.

Jesolo is a seaside resort town and comune in the province of Venice, Italy. The town lies north of Venice, between Eraclea and Cavallino-Treporti. Jesolo gives its name to a lagoon of 22 square kilometres (8.5 sq mi) on the Adriatic Sea between the rivers Sile and Piave. The urbanized area lies on an island of sorts, delimited by the rivers Piave (on the east) and Sile (on the west), and an artificial canal called Cavetta.
In Roman times the lagoon extended over the area now occupied by the town. There were several islands in the lagoon, the biggest of which was known as Equilium, the place of horses. It is thought that Jesolo represents a corruption of this name.
The city's economy is mostly based on tourism. Jesolo is a seaside resort with abundant holiday facilities and its 15-kilometre (9 mi) beach called Lido di Jesolo. At the height of its touristic life, Jesolo was hosting 6 million tourists per year. Currently these have dropped to around 4.5 million tourists per year due to the competition from new resort towns.

Gestartet hatten wir bei Sestri Levante (nahe Genua), dann ging es weiter über Pisa nach Florenz, von dort nach Rom bis runter nach Neapel und Pompeii und anschließend zurück nach Rimini bis nach Connobio am Lago Maggiore nahe der Schweizer Grenze.
Unterlegt ist das Ganze mit chillout Musik.

Made of pebbles and with grass areas, Sabbioni Beach is one of the biggest and most well-equipped beaches of Lake Garda. It offers various services including beach chair and sunbed rental, a snack bar, showers and canoe hire from the Rowing Club. Furthermore, there is a floating platform that has a pool on the inside and a slide on the outside, a basketball court and a playground with trampolines and sand pits, for the entertainment of the whole family. There is also a large shaded area thanks to the park which boarders the beach.
The splendid Pine Beach, also known as Purfina, is made of pebbles and grass and has a vast green area. It’s much loved by young people, is well looked after and offers services and entertainment for all ages, including: a bar, showers, beach chair and sunbed rental, a small playground with a sand pit and a floating platform with a pool on the inside and a slide on the outside. Furthermore, being a haunt for windsurfers, Pini Beach has a dedicated area for the lovers of this sport, in front of the Bavaria Campground.
The green background that surrounds Miralago Beach makes it a pleasant place, ideal for sunbathing, reading a book or relaxing on the lake edge. It is a pebble beach and has an offshore platform. After a few hours of sunbathing, there is nothing more satisfying than a dive into the fresh lake water.
