Rajgir (originally known as Girivraj) is a city and a notified area in Nalanda district in the Indian state of Bihar. The city of Rajgir (ancient Rājagṛha; Pali: Rājagaha was the first capital of the kingdom of Magadha, a state that would eventually evolve into the Mauryan Empire. Its date of origin is unknown, although ceramics dating to about 1000 BC have been found in the city. This area is also notable in Jainism and Buddhism as one of the favorite places for Lord Mahavira and Gautama Buddha and the well known Atanatiya conference was held at Vulture's Peak mountain.

Rajgir (originally known as Girivraj) is a city and a notified area in Nalanda district in the Indian state of Bihar.
The city of Rajgir (ancient Rājagṛha; Pali: Rājagaha; Hindi: राजगृह) was the first capital of the kingdom of Magadha, a state that would eventually evolve into the Mauryan Empire.
Conectivity--
Air: The nearest is Gaya International Airport, Gaya which is 78 km which is connected to International Destinations like Bangkok, Columbo, etc. Another airport is at Patna 101 km. Air India, Indigo, Jet Airways and Go Air connect Patna to Kolkata, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, Ranchi and Lucknow.
Rail: Rajgir railway station connects the city to other parts of country yet the nearest convenient railhead is at Gaya Junction railway station 78 km. The Bakhtiyarpur-Tilaiya line provides improved rail connectivity to many places.
Road: Rajgir is connected by road to Patna - 110 km, Nalanda - 12 km, Gaya - 78 km, Pawapuri - 38 km, Bihar Sharif - 25 km, etc.
Bus: Regular buses are available from all the above said points to Rajgir.
Local Transport: Taxis and Buses and Tongas are available.

Patna is an ancient city that sprawls along the south bank of the Ganges River in Bihar, northeast India. The state capital, it’s home to Bihar Museum, a contemporary landmark exhibiting bronze sculptures and old coins from the region. 1.Golghar:
A building in the shape of a beehive, Golghar originally served the purpose of a storehouse. It was built in 1786 by Captain John Garstin and provides a panoramic view of the entire city along with the River Ganga.

Situated in the city of Patna, Bihar, the Patna Museum, locally known as the Jadu Ghar is a very popular museum, storing more than 50,000 rare art objects, including Indian artefacts from the ancient, middle ages and the British colonial era. It was built in 1917 and was started on 3 April of the same year during the British rule to house the historical artefacts founded in Patna. This place is a must-visit for those who wish to experience the historical culture. The rich collection of the museum will take you back to the past to reminisce Indian history and glory.
3.Sanjay Gandhi Jaivik Udyan:
Sanjay Gandhi Jaivik Udyan is located off Bailey Road in Patna, Bihar, India. The park was opened to the public as a zoo in 1973. The park is Patna's most frequented picnic spot, with more than 36,000 visitors on New Year's Day alone in 2011.
4.Takht Sri Patna Sahib:
Takht Sri Patna Sahib also known as Harmandir Sahib, is a Gurdwara in the neighbourhood of Patna Sahib, India. It was to commemorate the birthplace of Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Guru of the Sikhs on December 1666.
5.Mahavir Mandir:
Mahavir Mandir is the second largest religious shrine in North India. It is one of the leading temples dedicated to the worship of Lord Hanuman. Thousands of devotees from different parts of the country flock in here daily to offer prayer to and seek the blessings of Bajrang Bali. It is believed that Sankat Mochan Hanuman listens to the prayers of his faithful devotees hence if worshipped with a pure heart no wishes of yours would be left unfulfilled. Therefore, it is also known as Manokamna Temple.
6.Mahatma Gandhi Setu:
Mahatma Gandhi Setu is a bridge over the river Ganges connecting Patna in the south to Hajipur in the north of Bihar. Its length is 5,575 metres and it is one of the longest river bridges in India, inaugurated in May 1982 by the then Prime Minister, Mrs Indira Gandhi.

Buddha Smriti Park also known as Buddha Memorial Park is an urban park located on Frazer Road near Patna Junction in Patna, India. This park has been developed by the Bihar Government to commemorate the 2554th birth anniversary of the Buddha.

The site is located about 95 kilometres (59 mi) southeast of Patna near the city of Bihar Sharif, and was a centre of learning from the fifth century CE to c. 1200 CE. a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
