Tawang Arunachal Pradesh
This is the best place to visit in summer in India. The best time to visit this place is between March to October.
The temperature during summer ranges between 5 Degree Celsius to 25 Degree Celsius.
Places to visit in Tawang
1. Sela Pass
It is one of the most visited place in Arunachal Pradesh. It is lying at an altitude of 14000 Feet above the sea level. This pass is one of the high altitude motorable pass around the world. You will enjoy some memorising views of the mountain s covered with snow.
2. Madhuri Lake
This is formed by a flash flood after an earth quake in the year of 1950.
The lake is surrounded by wonderfully lush valleys and snow capped mountains.
3. Tawang monastery
The largest monastery of India and the second largest one in Asia.
The monastery was founded in 1880-81 by Merak Lama Lodre Gyamtso with the wishes of the 5th Dalai Lama.
4. Tawang War Memorial
Tawang war memorial is dedicated to the war heroes (soldiers of the Indian Army) of Sino-India war that took place in the year 1962.
5. Nuranang Waterfalls
This is also known as Hang falls or Bong Bong falls. Located around 40 Km from the town Tawang.
