Attaquons l'exercice
J'aurais dû me mettre au régime
Suivez bien mon chemin,

Jean Baptiste Maunier 100% Mag 11/06/2009
Part of the transcript, in English:
Remember Jean-Baptiste Maunier. At barely 12 years old he was discovered in the 2004 blockbuster film Les Choristes 3 years earlier, Jules Sitruk, 11 years old, landed his first role in Mr. Batignole, an instant success.
Jules Sitruk: I haven't eaten for 3 days
We found these 2 child stars again, now almost 20 years old and still engaged in their early careers. We capture their hopes and the dangers of the acting profession when starting young. So have they done enough to build a career like Brigitte Fossey and Benoit Magimel, or will they end up like Macaulay Culkin or Lindsay Lohan, the child stars who have burnt their wings?
E. Rota (Interviewer): NY last month
JBM: Hello, welcome to my home.
Rota: The young man opens the doors of his New York apartment to us only just for this occasion. You'll know him of course, because despite his height of 1m94, his sweet angelic face hasn't really changed.
JBM: Uh, what was I gonna say?..oh, yeah here are some really nice paintings....
[clip of Les Choristes]
Rota: He has lived here for 9 months with his godmother, and is delighted with his new life, even if he misses some French habits a lot.
JBM: Me what I miss most is being able to wedge myself on a terrace with a little cup of coffee. Here it's whoosh, they move all the time, you take your coffee and your papers to work. It was a challenge...difficult to adjust to.
Rota: If he is here it is b/c he wanted to escape the pressures of the french film industry that have undermined him since the success of Les Choristes.
JBM: It's true that many have [underestimated me] but hey its ok. It was a period of my life that was very beautiful on a certain hand, but was also, a very difficult time to live through. There were always people pointing at me, watching me, and whispering about me as I passed by.
Rota: But JB isn't touring NY. He takes acting classes at one of the most prestigious schools [Lee Strasberg]. There he has met many friends, like Sara, who like him is French.
JB: Are you ok?
Sara: Yes, and you?
Rota: He is found regularly in Central Park, practicing his course-work.
JB (practicing a scene): I want my wife
Rota: Both know that building a career when you were once a child star is not easy.
Sara: He must hang on [and be storng], but for now he is doing well.
JB: You do it [acting] because it pleases you and you shouldn't need anything in return. If you are lucky and things work out you get recognition, it [acting] is already the most beautiful of gifts and with recognition you know you have talent.

Vanni Marcoux Don Quichotte Seigneur reçois mon âme Gramophone DA 936
Vanni Marcoux - Don Quichotte - Seigneur reçois mon âme - Gramophone DA 936 enregistré le 13 octobre 1927
Jean-Émile Diogène Marcoux (June 12, 1877, Turin, Italy – October 22, 1962, Paris, France) was a French operatic bass-baritone, known professionally as Vanni Marcoux (sometimes hyphenated as Vanni-Marcoux). He was particularly associated with the French and Italian repertories. His huge repertoire included an estimated 240 roles and he won renown as one of the most memorable singing-actors of the 20th century.
Jean-Émile Diogène Marcoux was born to a French father and an Italian mother in Turin, Italy. His mother gave him the nickname Vanni, short for Giovanni, the Italian equivalent of Jean. After completing law studies, he decided to devote himself to music. He studied with Collini at the music conservatory in his hometown.
He made his operatic debut in 1894, at the age of 17, as Sparafucile in Verdi's Rigoletto, in Turin. After further studies in Paris with Frédéric Boyer, he made his first stage appearance in France, at Bayonne, as Frère Laurent in Gounod's Roméo et Juliette, in 1899. Thereafter he toured a number of provincial theatres, which led to his debut at the Royal Opera House in London, as Basilio in Rossini's Il barbiere di Siviglia, in 1905, and at La Monnaie in Brussels, as Bertram in Meyerbeer's Robert le diable, in 1906.
Vanni Marcoux made his Paris Opéra debut in 1908 as Méphisto in Gounod's Faust, and at La Scala in 1910, as the Old Hebrew in Saint-Saëns' Samson et Dalila. The same year, 1910, he sang for the first time Massenet's Don Quichotte at the Gaieté Lyrique in Paris, a part that would soon become his signature role. For nearly 40 years, Vanni Marcoux was a familiar and much admired figure in Parisian musical life, mainly at the Opéra and the Opéra-Comique, where he created a number of roles in contemporary operas such as Raoul Gunsbourg's Lysistrata, Max d'Ollone's L'Arlequin, Henry Février's Monna Vanna and La Femme nue, Massenet's Panurge, and Arthur Honneger's and Jacques Ibert's L'Aiglon.
Word of his many successes crossed the Atlantic, and he was invited to Boston, where he made his debut in 1912 as Golaud in Debussy's Pelléas et Mélisande. This was followed by his debut at the Lyric Opera of Chicago in 1913, as the four villains in Offenbach's Les contes d'Hoffmann, which is considered one of his greatest histrionic achievements. His success in America was partly due to the soprano Mary Garden, who had popularized French opera in Chicago, thus laying the groundwork for his visit.
In October 1914, in the early stages of World War I, it was erroneously reported in the press that he had been killed on active service as a member of the French Army.[1]
In 1919, Vanni Marcoux appeared at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, the most important opera house in South America.
Among his more notable more notable interpretations were Philippe II in Don Carlos, Rafaele in Jewels of the Madonna, Iago in Otello, and the title character in Gianni Schicchi.
Vanni Marcoux began teaching at the Paris Conservatory in 1938. He retired from the stage in 1948 and became director of the Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux. He held that post from 1948 to 1951. His death occurred in 1962.
Vanni Marcoux's career was impressive for its longevity and the remarkably wide variety of operatic roles which it embraced. He possessed a clear, although not especially large voice, with a characteristic vibrato and a weight and timbre of almost tenor quality (see Scott, Record of Singing 1979). His French diction was praised for its clarity, and he was also acclaimed by music critics for the quality of his musicianship and his outstanding dramatic intelligence.

Pour voir si tu m'as apporté

SUMMARY
=======
The Kataas-taasan, Kagalang-galangan, Katipunan ng mga Anak ng Bayan (Supreme and Venerable Society of the Children of the Nation, Spanish: Suprema y Venerable Asociación de los Hijos del Pueblo) also known as Katipunan, or KKK was a Philippine revolutionary society founded by anti-Spanish colonialism Filipinos in Manila in 1892; its primary goal was to gain independence from Spain through a revolution. Documents discovered in the 21st century suggest that the society had been organized as early as January 1892 but may not have become active until July 7 of the same year; that was the date that Filipino writer José Rizal was to be banished to Dapitan. Founded by Filipino patriots Andrés Bonifacio, Teodoro Plata, Ladislao Diwa and others, the Katipunan was a secret organization until it was discovered in 1896. This led to the outbreak of the Philippine Revolution.
The Tagalog word katipunan, literally meaning 'association' or 'assembly', comes from the root word tipon, a Tagalog word meaning gather.Being a secret organization, its members were subjected to the utmost secrecy and were expected to abide by the rules established by the society. Aspiring applicants were given standard initiation rites in order to become members of the society. At first, membership in the Katipunan was only open to male Filipinos; later, women were accepted into the society. The Katipunan had its own publication, Kalayaan (Liberty) which issued its first and last printing in March 1896. Revolutionary ideals and works flourished within the society, and Filipino literature was expanded by some of its prominent members.
In planning the revolution, Bonifacio contacted Rizal for his full-fledged support for the Katipunan in exchange for a promise to rescue Rizal from his detention. In May 1896, a delegation was sent to Emperor Meiji of Japan in order to solicit funds and military arms. The Katipunan's existence was revealed to the Spanish authorities after a member named Teodoro Patiño revealed the Katipunan's illegal activities to his sister, and finally to the mother portress of Mandaluyong Orphanage. Seven days after the Spanish authorities learned of the existence of the secret society, on December 26, 1896, Bonifacio and his men tore up their cédulas during the Cry of Balintawak that started the Philippine Revolution of 1896.
