Venice, the capital of northern Italy’s Veneto region, is built on more than 100 small islands in a lagoon in the Adriatic Sea. It has no roads, just canals – including the Grand Canal thoroughfare – lined with Renaissance and Gothic palaces. The central square, Piazza San Marco, contains St. Mark’s Basilica, which is tiled with Byzantine mosaics, and the Campanile bell tower offering views of the city’s red roofs.
Venice is a city in northeastern Italy and the capital of the Veneto region. Venice is situated across a group of 118 small islands. The lagoon and a part of the city of Venice are listed as a World Heritage Site. Today, there are numerous attractions in Venice, such as St Mark's Basilica, the Grand Canal, and the Piazza San Marco. The Lido di Venezia is also a popular international luxury destination, attracting thousands of actors, critics, celebrities, and mainly people in the cinematic industry. The city also relies heavily on the cruise business.
Tourism has been a major sector of Venetian industry since the 18th century, when it was a major center for the Grand Tour, with its beautiful city scape, uniqueness, and rich musical and artistic cultural heritage. In the 19th century, it became a fashionable centre for the rich and famous, often staying or dining at luxury establishments such as the Danieli Hotel and the Caffè Florian. It continued being a fashionable city in vogue right into the early 20th century. In the 1980s, the Carnival of Venice was revived and the city has become a major centre of international conferences and festivals, such as the prestigious Venice Biennale and the Venice Film Festival, which attract visitors from all over the world for their theatrical, cultural, cinematic, artistic, and musical productions.

Walk around the small island of Procida. Unlike Ischia and Capri, Procida has maintained its Italian authenticity and does not have that much of a tourist feel. You will experience how the locals actually live on the island. Take a quiet walk through the incredibly beautiful and picturesque Village of Marina Corricella, Procida's oldest marina. The name Corricella comes from the Greek kora Cale which means nice neighborhood. Visitare Catanzaro - Calabria Italia
Visitare Catanzaro , un breve giro per le vie della città.
Catanzaro si affaccia sul golfo di Squillace, nel mar Ionio, dove secondo alcuni studiosi si trovava il porto del regno dei Feaci, nel quale, come racconta Omero nell'Odissea, Ulisse fu accolto e raccontò la sua storia.
Il territorio comunale si estende dal mare fino a un'altezza di circa 600 metri, La casa comunale sorge a 320 m. Comprende una zona costiera sul mar Ionio che ospita 8 km di spiaggia e un porto turistico, da qui il centro abitato risale la valle della Fiumarella (anticamente detta fiume Zaro) sede di un forte sviluppo urbanistico, fino ai i tre colli: del Vescovado, di San Trifone (o di San Rocco) e di San Giovanni (o del Castello) su cui sorge il centro storico della città e che si ricollegano con la Sila verso Nord. Per la sua particolare orografia il territorio comunale è bagnato dal mare, ma soggetto a fenomeni nevosi d'inverno.
I corsi d'acqua principali sono il torrente Fiumarella (nel dialetto locale Hjiumareddha, anticamente detto Zaro), nel quale confluisce il torrente Musofalo, il torrente Corace (anticamente detto Crotalo) il maggiore in termini di portata d'acqua che delimita il confine comunale a sud e il torrente Alli che delimita il confine comunale a nord. Per loro natura i corsi d'acqua sono a carattere torrentizio ed hanno una scarsa portata nella maggior parte dell'anno, mentre si gonfiano dopo le piogge.

Civitavecchia – Das Tor des Meeres von Rom
Reisende die auf dem Seeweg nach Rom unterwegs sind, erreichen zunächst den Hafen von Civitavecchia der 80 km von Rom entfernt an der Küste des Tyrrhenischen Meeres liegt. Der Hafen hat in der Stadt seit dem Jahr 110 vor Christus existiert. In Civitavecchia sieht man das Fort Michelangelo, benannt nach dem großen Maler, sowie das Rocco Schloss und die Kathedrale von St. Francis.

Orta San Giulio Italy
Het Ortameer (Italiaans: Lago d'Orta / Cusio) ligt in de Piëmontese provincies Novara en Verbano-Cusio-Ossola. De waterspiegel van het meer ligt 290 meter boven zeeniveau. Water verlaat het meer via de korte rivier deNigoglia die al na enkele honderden meters samenvloeit met de Strona. Deze stroomt op zijn beurt weer uit in het Lago Maggiore. Het Ortameer is het enige grote Noord-Italiaanse meer waarvan het water aan de noordzijde uitvloeit.
In het meer ligt een relatief groot eiland, het Isola San Giulio, hierop staat een aantal gebouwen waaronder een 9e-eeuwse basiliek. Het eiland is met een bootdienst te bereiken vanuit Orta San Giulio, het toeristische epicentrum van het meer. Het historische centrum van deze plaats is zeer goed bewaard gebleven. Bij de plaats ligt de Sacro Monte, een wandelweg leidt via 21 kapelletjes gewijd aan het leven van Franciscus van Assisi naar de top waar een aantal abdijgebouwen staan. Aan de west- en oostzijde is het meer omgeven door bergen. De hoogste berg aan de oostzijde is de Mottarone (1491 m) waarvan de top met een weg te bereiken is voor automobilisten. Het westelijke bergland (hoogste top 1249 m) vormt de scheiding met het Valsesia.
Lake Orta (Italian: Lago d'Orta) is located in the Piedmontese provinces of Novara and Verbano-Cusio-Ossola. The water level of the Lake is 290 metres above sea level. Water leaves the Lake through the short River deNigoglia which already after a few hundred meters the Strona. This in turn flows from Lago Maggiore. Lake Orta is the only major Northern Italian Lake whose water flows out on the north side. In the Lake is a relatively large island, Isola San Giulio, with a number of buildings including a 9th-century Basilica. The island is with a boat service to reach from Orta San Giulio, the tourist epicenter of the Lake. The historic centre of this place is very well preserved. Near the village is the Sacro Monte, a hiking trail leads through 21 chapels dedicated to the life of Francis of Assisi to the top where a number of Abbey buildings. On the west and East side of the Lake is surrounded by mountains. The highest Mountain on the East side is the Mottarone (1491 m) of which the top can be reached with a road for motorists. The Western mountain country (highest peak 1249 m) forms the separation with the Valsesia.
