Madeira 250 views of
The name of the island of Madeira comes from a tree. The island is of volcanic origin which translates into abundant flora. The best functioning currency on Madeira is the euro and the temperatures fluctuate close to 20oC throughout the year. However, in the mountains where the highest peak Pico Ruivo is 1862m.npm it may be below 0. However, it is not always sunny and the weather as it is on the islands can change in sequences of several minutes. The island belongs to Portugal, but in ancient times it was also part of Spain. The capital of the island is Funchal where there are the most attractions.
Madeira has born Cristiano Ronaldo who has his museum here and a restaurant. In the funchal are 3 botanical parks where plants are gathered from many continents, including Australia, America, Asia and Africa. The largest of them is Jardim Botanico and can be reached by cable car. In Funchal there are several museums, the Museum of Electricity, the Cr7 museum, the Museu Quinta das Cruzes, the Museu de Historia Natural do Funchal. On the hill is the old fortification Castle Fortaleza De Sao Tiago. In the city center is Fruit And Vegetable Market and Fish Market where I recommend a fish named espada.
On the island there are many viewpoints with the famous Cabo Girão where the cliff is about 600m and you walk on the glass floor. Other which I recommend is Pico dos Barcelos, Balcões, Eira do Serrado, Ponta do Rosto, Farol da Ponta do Pargo, Pico do Areeiro, Miradouro da Terra Chã.
There is a large demand for water on Madeira, settlers have long been building lewady, or channels that bring water from the hot to the lowlands. Lewady is an attraction of Madeira, you can walk around them and some of them have more than 15 km. Lewady are different difficulties, so be careful what you choose and how we will be dressed. The most famous are: Levada das 25 fontes with the Risco waterfall, Vereda to Areeiro, Levada to Alecrim, Vereda da Ponta de São Lourenço, Vereda da Lagoa to Vento,
Interesting places you can see in this video is Porto Moniz where there are natural volcanic pools many good restaurants and a small Aquarium da Madeira. I recommend tasting the local Poncha drink with freshly squeezed fruit juice and aguardente. Riberia Brava with picturesque green terraces where bananas are grown. Other towns are Porto Santo, Câmara de Lobos, São Vicente, Seixal, Jardim do Mar, Achadas da Cruz, Caniçal, Santa Cruz, Porto da Cruz, Santana.
In the film you will see eucalyptus and jasmine forests in which it smells like anywhere else.
Madeira is a paradise for people who like to walk in the mountains, forests (no ticks) for photographers and all those who love flowers. Beaches are stony or with black sand. There are many beautiful and wild corners on the island and if you go on it for the second or third time you will always find new, unexplored charming places for you.

Lajes do Pico (Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈlaʒɨʒ ðu ˈpiku]) is a municipality in the southern part of the Azores. The municipality is located is on the southern part of the Pico Island. The population in 2011 was 4,711,[3] in an area of 155.31 km².[4] It is bordered by Madalena to the west and by São Roque do Pico to the north.
The history of this municipality can be traced back to 1460, when Fernão Álvares Evangelho built his residence in the area that began to be known as Penendo Negro, in Enseada do Castelete, an area south of the village of Lajes. Due to the necessity of potable water, he built his home alongside a ravine outside of town, that for many years was known as Ribeira de Fernando Álvares.
