11 Things To Do in Yangon, Myanmar (Are You Ready!?)
Get more details about these things to do in Yangon here:
1. Shwedagon Pagoda (ရွှေတိဂုံစေတီတော်) - Probably the most important religious monument and most sacred site in Yangon and throughout Myanmar is the Shwedagon Pagoda (ရွှေတိဂုံစေတီတော်). The golden stupa of the pagoda is covered in gold, and it’s so bright that I you have squint when you look at it. At the top of the pagoda, in the small umbrella looking top, are thousands of gems and diamonds - though it’s pretty challenging to see all the way up there. The Shwedagon Pagoda is a place you must visit when you’re in Yangon.
2. Local Market - One of my favorite things to do in any city I visit about the world is to visit a local fresh market - that’s where life takes place and where the action goes down. There are no shortage of fresh local markets in Yangon, and one of the best in downtown is on 26th street, across the main road from the Shri Kali Temple. The market occupies a block of downtown, and there’s an indoor section, but I really like the street side part of the market.
3. Bogyoke Aung San Market - One of the centrally located markets in downtown Yangon, located at the northern side of town, is Bogyoke Aung San Market, also known by its former name of Scott Market. If you’re looking for souvenirs, gems and jewelry, and fabric, this is a great place for you to visit when you’re in Yangon.
4. Sule Pagoda (ဆူးေလဘုရား) - Another one of the most important religious, political, and overall just city landmarks in Yangon is the Sule Pagoda - basically all roads eventually lead to the Sule Pagoda and it’s a huge transportation hub. You can pay to enter the pagoda for $3, but in my opinion there’s not that much to see inside, but it’s rather the things around the are that are more impressive.
5. Chinatown, Yangon - One of my favorite things to do in Yangon is eat, and if you love food and markets, Chinatown is a place you can’t miss. In the evening, the city of Yangon in the Chinatown area comes alive sprawling with food and people. 19th street in Yangon is a very famous as the barbecue street in the city, and there are a few restaurants where you can get a table, choose some kebabs and have them barbecue them up for you. If you love eating and drinking, dinner at 19th street is one of the fun things to do in Yangon.
6. Kandawgyi Park - There are two parts to Kandawgyi Park, the boardwalk, and the restaurants area - each has an entrance fee. It makes a great relief from the city and place to relax in the natural beauty.
7. Chaukhtatgyi Paya (Chak Htat Gyi Buddha) - This giant reclining Buddha is housed in a huge shed, and it’s among the main Buddhist religious sites in Yangon. Originally in the same location, there was a seating Buddha, but when it fell over, it was replaced by a reclining.
8. National Museum of Myanmar - If you’d like to know more about the history and culture of Myanmar (Burma), one of the attractions in Yangon that you should check out is the National Museum. It was a little outdated, but the exhibitions were educational and interesting.
9. Yangon Circular Railroad - Not really one of the traditional things to do in Yangon, Myanmar, but taking the local circular train route is a great opportunity to see some of the outskirts of the city.
10. Walk Around Yangon - Probably the best way to experience the city is to just get out on your feet and explore Yangon by food - you never know what’s going to happen or what you’re going to see or come across, but it will be full of action.
11. Myanmar Food and Street Food - There’s nothing better than traveling to eat and experiences a country through its food. Yangon is filled with both street food stalls and restaurant where you can get a sample of the local cuisine. Another part of the Myanmar culture I love is the constant tea drinking - nearly everywhere you look, you’ll find a place to sit on the side of the road and drink a cup of hot tea and socialize.
Yangon is a great city, and what I love so much about it is that it’s always full of action, people are extremely friendly, there are many different types of food and street food to try, and it’s just such a vibrant, always entertaining city. Hope you can visit Yangon!

Street Food in Pakistan - ULTIMATE 16-HOUR PAKISTANI FOOD Tour in Lahore, Pakistan!
Thank you to Ali (Pakistan Travel Market):
SUBSCRIBE for 2 new videos every week:
T-shirts and caps:
Also, just published a full Pakistan travel guide:
I’m very excited to share this first full street food in Pakistan video with you! We started our trip in Lahore, a vibrant, colorful, and packed full of food city. Our first day in Lahore turned out to be a 16 hour street food marathon in Lahore, and it was an amazing day!
Get more details on my Pakistan Travel Guide:
Sadiq Halwa Puri ( - We began the day with a very common breakfast throughout Pakistan, halwa puri, but along with chana curry (chickpea curry). We ate off the car, enjoying every bit of the freshly fried puris and curry.
Total price - 640 PKR ($4.78)
Chacha Feeka Lassi ( - Next we drove over to Gawalmandi, one of the most legendary areas in Lahore for food. We headed straight to a breakfast staple, the lassi shop and had the most creamy heavy milkshake I’ve ever had, called a pera lassi.
Roasted chickpeas - 25 PKR ($0.19) - After exiting an alley, right in front of us was a man selling chickpeas and corn roasted in black Himalayan salt. It’s a very common street food snack in Pakistan.
Sweet potato - 80 PKR ($0.60) - Sweet potato is also a very common street food snack in Lahore, seasoned with masala and a type of citrus juice.
Baba Kulfi Wala - Next we headed over to Shah Alami Market, another huge and bustling market in Lahore.
Kulfi - 20 PKR ($0.15) each - One of the most famous places to eat ice cream in Lahore is Baba Kulfi Wala, and you’ll find a crowd of people standing around the corner of the road eating sticks of their famous kulfi.
Orange juice - 50 PKR ($0.37)
Chana chaat - 120 PKR ($0.89) per plate - One of my personal favorite Pakistani street food snacks of the day was chana chaat, a chickpea snack. He added in all sorts of spices, chutneys, and seasonings, to create a deliciously refreshing snack.
Butt Karahi Tikka Restaurant - Easily one of the most well known restaurants in Lahore is Butt Karahi, specializing in curry made in a rounded pan, called a karahi (we will be eating a lot of karahi’s in Pakistan!). We ordered both a mutton karahi and chicken karahi. Both were amazing, filled with spices and butter, but the tenderness of the mutton was the winner.
Total price - 5,600 PKR ($41.84)
Siddique Fish Corner - You’ll notice that Lahore seems to come alive at night, and street food is everywhere at night. We began the evening with Siddique Fish Corner, one of the best fried fish stalls in Lahore. It was awesome, and so busy.
Total price - 400 PKR ($2.99)
Khalifa Balochi Sajji - Another Pakistani dish I wanted to try was chicken sajji, a type of hand rotisserie chicken. The atmosphere and cooking method was incredible.
Total price - 390 PKR ($2.91)
Khan Baba Restaurant - Finally for our last dinner on this 16 hour day of food in Pakistan, we went to one of Ali’s favorite restaurants in Lahore, Khan Baba. The goat chops were impressive as was the korma curry.
Again, massive thank you to Ali, from Pakistan Travel Mart for hosting us in Pakistan, taking us around, and organizing everything.

Kanamara P*nis Festival Exposed ★ ONLY in JAPAN
★ Special Episode ★ This festival will next be held on Sunday, April 5 2020. Here's a preview with all the background you'll need.
Japan's Kanamara Matsuri as you've never seen it before!
Every now and then something very bizarre from Japan pops up in the news. This time, it happens to be bright pink and carried around the streets of a town near Tokyo. The Kanamara Matsuri / Festival is definitely unusual but there is much more to this story including a strong historical backbone and religious significance.
So – WHY #JAPAN ?!?! WHY ?!?
The international media sees the images and write the stories but never ask the questions. Let me do that for you in this episode.
The festival sometimes dubbed the “Penis” festival or the Utamaro Festival has a long history going back 200 years.
It was created by a transgender salon in Asakusa called Elizabeth who wanted to bring attention to the issue of STD, HIV / AIDS and the LGBT community. They succeeded in getting a lot of attention but over the last several years, the message has gotten lost in the shock and -- bright pink of their hand made phallus. Whatever you may think about Elizabeth, there is no doubt that it is the most photographed mikoshi in Japan!
Kanamara #Shrine is dedicated to both fertility and a place for prayer for women afflicted by sexual diseases. It's a place women go to today to pray to get pregnant and for a healthy child.
Those who have been unfortunate to contract a STD have been coming here for centuries. The priests approach those afflicted with a lot of compassion. Kanamara Shrine is certainly one that opens its arms to anyone and everyone who is suffering and that compassion is admirable.
In recent years, the worldwide media attention has been overwhelming skewed on the weird and the Kanamara Matsuri has become something of a joke and embarrassment in many Japanese eyes. I really hope that this episode can help shed light on the cultural, historical and religious significance of this festival in Japan today. It's more than a gag, a comedy piece.
Parental Guidance suggested:
Because viewers of the shows come from all different backgrounds and ages, I highly recommend anyone under 13 have a parent watch with them. There are no actual body parts shown but I know the material is sensitive for parents; and parents should be the ones making the decision if this should be seen or not. I added a rating at the opening for this purpose.
Where is Kanamara Shrine?
Here's a Google Map:
Address: 2-13-16 Daishi Ekimae, Kawasaki Ward, Kawasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture 210-0802
How to get to the Kanamara Matsuri:
Station: Kawasakidaishi Station / 川崎大師
Take the JR LINE to Kawasaki Station then change to the Keikyu Dashi Line, a 50 meter walk from JR. Take the train 3 stops, 140 Yen.

Ulu Legong Hot Spring Baling Kedah FullHD
One of the main attractions in Baling is the hot spring pool located at Ulu Legong. The hot springs are becoming more and more popular with tourists visiting Kedah. This place of attraction is always full of visitors at the weekend and also during school holidays. People from all over the country including tourists from abroad also come to take a bath and relax with the family here.
Ulu Legong's hot spring pool is located about 10KM from Baling town. If it comes from Kelantan, Perak or Penang, you need to go through the town of Baling while visitors from Desert or Alor Setar, the journey is shorter if through Sik or Parit Panjang.
KOREAN FEAST in Jeonju Hanok Village
Today we're eating up a Korean feast in Jeonju! Called Hanjeongsik (한정식), this lunch is a traditional Korean multi-course meal featuring a seemingly endless number of dishes. My one advice: take one bite of everything to ensure you have enough room for the next set of food! Choose your favorites, then focus on those goodies. If you want to finish everything on the table, consider growing another stomach. Watch the video to see the full food adventure unfold :)
