Sileby is a former industrial village and civil parish in the Soar Valley in Leicestershire, between Leicester and Loughborough. Nearby villages include Barrow upon Soar, Mountsorrel, Ratcliffe-on-the-Wreake, Seagrave and Cossington. The population of the civil parish at the 2011 census was 7,835.The origins of the village date back to around 840 AD when the area was settled by the Danes - Leicestershire forming part of the Danelaw along with other counties in the vicinity. 5043 & 60009 In Beautiful British Weather 22.12.12

5043 Earl Of Mount Edgecumbe and 60009 Union Of South Africa seen hauling the Christmas white rose & the Christmas Yorkshireman in monsoon like conditions.
5043 is first seen passing Winchor Junction then our second shot is taken at Sileby Station after other locations were not possible due to adverse weather conditions .

05 July 2018 New loco at Abbey Park Leicester

Our (my wife and I) new Pheonix Loco's Tug. It is to be named Wolsey. We recieved it on 05-07-2018, and it will usually run on the Abbey Park Miniature Railway in Leicester, but we are looking to visit many other railways with it.
