Best Places to Visit in BRUSSELS - Vacation Travel Guide
Brussels - Get a proper feel of Belgian life with their fantastic restaurants and cafè culture. Visit Brussels and see its world-class museums, art galleries, Atomium and some wonderful remnants of old architecture in the old town quarter.
Here's some fantastic places to see when in Brussels, Belgium:
1. Grand Place (Grote Markt) - Right in the heart of Brussels Old Town, the city's main plaza (known as Grand Place) is one of the best preserved in Europe.
2. Mannekin Pis - Along the Rue de l'Etuve is Brussels' best-known landmark, the Manneken Pis, usually besieged by a throng of tourists.
3. Saint-Michel Cathedral (Sint-Michiels Kathedraal) - The beautifully proportioned interior (108 meters by 50 meters) is lavishly furnished and is home to some outstanding stained glass windows created by Bernard van Orley.
4. Belgian Comic Strip Center - A constantly rotating exhibition of 200 original comic strip drawings by Belgian and French comic artists is shown here.
5. Place Royale (Koningsplein) - A favorite attraction for photo-ops, the most important building on this square is the Royal Palace (Palais Royal), which is used by the Belgian royal family as an official residence.
6. Belgian Royal Museum of Fine Arts - one of the largest and best art galleries in the world.
7. Atomium - , the bizarre 102-meter-high steel and aluminum structure, designed by the architect André Waterkeyn for the 1958 Brussels World Exhibition.
8. Coudenberg Palace Archaeological Site - has been excavated to reveal the cellars and tunnels of the former Palace of Brussels, as well as forgotten streets that had been buried beneath the city for centuries.
9. Mont des Arts - he architecturally imposing complex of large buildings includes the Bibliothèque Albert I and the strikingly modern Palais de la Dynastie and Palais de Congrès.
10. Notre-Dame du Sablon - The interior of the church is breathtaking, in particular because of its marvelous stained glass.
Also, you don't want to miss Brussels' famous chocolate and beer.

In Brugge of de aanpalende dorpjes vind je wel elke dag een markt.
Maandag is er markt in Lissewege onder de toren. Het is er heel gezellig, de lokale cafés zijn goed bevolkt.
Dinsdag is er markt op de vismarkt.
Woensdag Iis er markt in volle centrum.
Op donderdag kun je even naar Damme.
Vrijdags is er een kleine markt in Beernem.
De grootste markt is op zaterdag en bevindt zich op het Zand.
Op zondag is er een lokale markt in St Michiels Brugge.
Market days in Bruges or the nearby villages:
Monday there is a market under the tower in Lissewege.
Tuesday there is a market on the fish market, Wednesday market in full center. Thursday you can go to Damme and on Friday there is a small market in Beernem. The largest market is on Saturday and is located on the Zand. On Sundays there is a local market in St Michiels Brugge.

A Bolsa de Valores de Bruxelas marca a paisagem da capital belga. Datada de 1873 o edifício assemelha-se a um templo grego muito decorado e funciona agora local de exposições temporárias. Nos alicerces vêem-se as ruínas de um convento fundado em 1278 conhecido por Bruxella 1278.

As Estufas Reais de Laeken (neerlandês Koninklijke Serres van Laken; em francês Serres Royales de Laeken) são um vasto complexo de estufas monumentais localizado no parque do Castelo Real de Laeken, em Bruxelas, e uma das maiores atrações turísticas da cidade.
O complexo foi construído entre 1874 e 1895 pelo arquiteto Alphonse Balat, a mando do rei Leopoldo II. Os principais materiais são ferro e vidro.
Só pode ser visitado durante um período de duas semanas entre abril e maio, quando a maioria das plantas estão floridas. Entre as plantas, está uma importante coleção de camélias.

Memorial de Infantaria e Palácio de Justiça
O Memorial de Infantaria de Bruxelas fica na memória dos soldados belgas que lutaram na Primeira Guerra Mundial e na Segunda Guerra Mundial. Desenhado por Edouard Vereycken , o memorial fica em frente ao Palais de justiça de Bruxelles. O Memorial de Guerra repousa sobre uma plataforma elevada com vista para o centro da cidade de Bruxelas.
A inscrição diz: Para os soldados de infantaria que morreram por seu país
Parque do Cinquentenário
É um parque público urbano no leste de Bruxelas, capital da Bélgica.
A maioria dos edifícios do complexo em forma de U que dominam o parque foram encomendados pelo governo belga sob o reinado do rei Leopoldo II para a Exposição Nacional de 1880, em comemorativa ao cinquentenário da independência da Bélgica, e exposições sucessivas que ocorreram na mesma área. O arco triunfal foi erguido em 1905, substituindo uma versão temporária anterior da arcada por Gédéon Bordiau. As estruturas foram construídas em ferro, vidro e pedra, simbolizando o desempenho econômico e industrial da Bélgica. Os 30 hectares de parque está cheio de jardins pitorescos, lagoas e cachoeiras. Ele abrigou várias feiras, exposições e festivais, no início do século. Desde 1930 o parque é voltada para o lazer.
A Catedral de St. Michael e St. Gudula (em francês: Co-Catedral collégiale des Ss-Michel et Gudule, em Holandês: Collegiale Sint-Michiels-en Sint-Goedele-co-kathedraal) é uma igreja católica romana localizada em Treurenberg Hill, em Bruxelas, na Bélgica. Ela serve como o co-catedral da arquidiocese de Malines-Bruxelas.
Em 1047, Lamberto II de Lovaina fundou um capítulo nesta igreja e organizou o transporte das relíquias de Santa Gudula, abrigado antes disso, na Igreja São Gaugericus, em Saint-Géry Island. Os santos padroeiros da igreja, arcanjo São Miguel e o mártir São Gudula, são também os santos padroeiros da cidade de Bruxelas. No século XIII, a catedral foi renovada em estilo gótico. O coro foi construído entre 1226 e 1276. A fachada foi concluída em meados do século XV.
