Road Trip from Central to East Kalimantan

12 days trip, with most of it spent on the road, literally. We started in Palangkaraya (Central Kalimantan), move southward and eastward, and end up in Berau (East Kalimantan) before then cross to Maratua Island at the Derawan mini archipelago. We visited a lot of tourism attractions, such as Teritip the crocodile breeding center, Sebangau National Park to see wild orangutans, and swim with stingless jellyfish in Kakaban Lake. My highlight? Being on the road, enjoying the scenery and smooth ride with awesome drivers with their maneuvers.

26 Hour Plane Ride To Bali

I decided to go halfway around the world and spent 26 hours on a plane to go to Bali Indonesia! When I got there the person I was supposed to meet up with for a place to stay wasnt there. I was stuck in a foreign country 10,000 miles from home. It was day 1 of a month long journey! This is the craziest story of my life! Semengoh Orangutan Sanctuary, Malaysia (1080HD) Travel Video

The Semengoh Orangutan Centre is located about 45 minutes drive south of Kuching.

The centre was established in 1975 as a place to rehabilitate injured, orphaned and captive Orangutans.

The centre is nestled within a secluded forest reserve into which these beautiful creatures are encouraged to venture and reconnect with their natural being.

They are released for short periods initially, which are increased until they have mastered their ability to live independently in the wild.

Occasionally during dry seasons when forest foods are scarce, rehabilitated Orangutans reemerge from the forest, much to the joy of their former keepers.

The orangutans gather to feed close to the viewing platforms twice daily from 9am until 10am and in the afternoons at 3pm. Outside feeding times it can be difficult to see them. The centre also acts as an education, research and breeding centre.

There are several picturesque walking tracks through the sanctuary, as well as visitor centre and gift shop.

Kalstar Aviation Flight KD670 Embraer E-195 SUB (Surabaya) to DPS (Denpasar) PK-KDA

Travelling on a short hop from SUB to DPS onboard Kalstar Aviation's latest fleet.

Kalstar Aviation is a small Indonesian airlines that operates scheduled flights mostly from and to cities of Kalimantan (Pontianak, Balikpapan, Sampit, Pangkalanbun, etc.). Lately they leased two E-195 and operates them on some existing routes while extending their network to DPS (Bali), MOF (Maumere) and KOE (Kupang). This Video will cover the SUB-DPS leg (the plane will continue to fly to MOF and KOE afterwards).

This flight was actually not my first time flying with KD (Kalstar), However i must say improvements have been made considerably. I was greeted by a friendly male check-in officer and checked in immediately. A lil bit of a letdown was the approximately 15 minutes late departure, It seems to me that KD have a very tight scheduling. However on a short 40 mins hop it was insignificant.

Upon boarding the E-195 i was filled with excitement as this was my first flight ever onboard an Embraer manufactured aircraft. As a rather experienced flyer on Garuda's Bombardier CRJ1000 i was shocked to find how spacious this embraer seems to be. it could accomodate 118 passengers with arguably wider and a more comfortable seats compared to Bombardier CRJ1000. The most noticable difference though, i think, was the ceiling height which does not seems to be a problem at all to my height. (you can view the interiors in this video)

Inflight services was mediocre with snackbox beiing offered (however i was fasting during that time). A pleasant surprise was the existence of proper airline magazine and inflight shopping. Another great addition to the flight was the cabin crew, very friendly and willing to chat with me and fellow passengers (we even take pictures together).

Overall the experience is very positive and i'm looking forward for my next flight with KD.

Di lokas ini, kamu bukan aja bisa menikmati air terjun ganda, tapi juga terdapat tumpukan batu yang membentuk lorong panjang, dan didalamnya terdapat air terjun2 kecil dari celah batu. nah, gimana penampakannya? streaming terus ya Guys!

East Kalimantan has a total area of 129,066.64 square kilometres (49,832.91 sq mi)[3] and is the second least densely populated province in Kalimantan.[4]The majority of the region shares a maritime border to the east with West Sulawesi and North Sulawesi; its coastline faces the Makassar Strait and the Celebes Sea. Its former northernmost region is now North Kalimantan; to its south, East Kalimantan borders the South Kalimantan province. The province bordered Sabah before the split, but still borders Sarawak.

East Kalimantan is now divided into six regencies and three cities. Isran Noor the current Governor of East Kalimantan and Hadi Mulyadi is its vice governor.[

East Kalimantan was once mostly covered by tropical rainforest. There are several kingdoms in East Kalimantan, including the Kingdom of Kutai (Hindu), Sultanate of Kutai ing Martadipura, and the Sultanate of Pasir. East Kalimantan region include Pasir, Kutai, Berau and also Karasikan (Buranun / pre-Sultanate of Sulu) claimed as conquered territory Suryanata Maharaja, the governor of Majapahit in the State Dipa (which is located in the Great Temple in Amuntai) until 1620 in the Sultanate of Banjar. Between the years 1620-1624, kingdoms in East Kalimantan turned into an area influence of the Sultanate of Sultan Alauddin Makassar, before the Bungaya agreement. According to the Hikayat Banjar, the Sultan of Makassar never borrowed land for trade covers an area east and southeast of Borneo to the Sultan Mustain Billah of Banjar when Kiai Martasura sent to Makassar and entered into an agreement with the Sultan Tallo I Mangngadaccinna Daeng I Ba'le 'Sultan Mahmud Karaeng Pattingalloang, which became Mangkubumi and principal advisor to the Sultan Muhammad Said, King of Gowa in 1638-1654 and also in-law of Sultan Hasanuddin, which will make the East Kalimantan region as a place to trade for the Sultanate of Makassar (Gowa-Tallo), since that began to arrive people from South Sulawesi. However, based on the agreement between the Sultanate of Banjar and the Dutch East India Company (VOC) in 1635, VOC help Banjar restore lands in East Kalimantan into spheres of influence of the Sultanate of Banjar. It is embodied in the Bungaya agreement, that the Sultanate of Makassar are not allowed to trade up to the east and the north Borneo
