TRAVELLING LOVELY WARSAW IN POLAND
Here is a little summary from my long weekend in Warsaw this summer.
Czecho - Slovakia Scenic Drive - Kuty to Hodonin 4K UHD
Today let's watch scenic drive in western Slovakia - and Eastern Czech Republic - middle Europe. It was a drive between Kuty and Hodonin via multiple villages, Holic and Skalica towns. Video was created in 4K UHD resolution using latest Gopro Hero 7 Black and timewarp feature.
Another Scenic Drive I recommend is between Trnava and Nitra Slovakia:
The speed of video / drive was adjusted to make it more interesting so please do not try to drive so quickly (in fact with 5-10x speed up it is even not possible).

The Baumstriezel ( Hungarian Kürtőskalács, romanian Colac secuiesc ) is a from yeast dough baked on (mostly) open hearth cake originating in south-eastern Transylvania. Because of its similar shape to the layer cake, the Baumstriezel (or Baumstrizel ), mostly just misleading Baumkuchen called.
The ingredients for Baumstriezel are flour, yeast, sugar, eggs, milk, butter, salt, and as ingredients as desired almonds, nuts, poppy seeds. In different recipes of the yeast dough is at about one kilogram flour about 180 grams of sugar, and the same part of butter, eggs (for example four) and 1/2 liters of milk is required. After about 25 minutes kneading and slow stirring the butter in the dough is allowed to rise this about half an hour. Meanwhile, must the timber in which the dough is rotated later be pre-heated.
The woods are usually made of maple wood, as this is not too hard, but elastic and hard, whereby the wood a smooth surface can be given. The woods are slightly tapered on the opposite side of the handle so that the finished baked Baumstriezel can be easily removed from its baking pan.
The only slightly leavened dough is ausgewalkt and wrapped in strips spirally around the pre-lubed forms so that the dough ends are superposed on the edge. The dough will be very thin because the Baumstriezel else inside unbaked and difficult to digest is. They were suppressed quite easily together, so that the Baumstriezel does not dissolve into strips after baking. The Baumstriezel is brushed with melted butter and rolled in granulated sugar, the option of different flavors and / or nuts are added. During baking, the baking mold is rotated continuously and repeatedly brushed with melted butter. Earlier still shot with hand over / next to a fire or Glutstelle, the Baumstriezel today in various forms of fire pits baked or electric furnaces. If the glassy Baumstriezel is (because of the melted sugar) and golden brown, this is fully baked and can be removed from it by a slight breaking of the mold.
The finished baked Baumstriezel is cut with scissors. A Baumstriezel the like cake is from the Slovak town of Skalica derived Trdelník. This tube cake in 2007 was one of the first Slovak cake that within the European Union was provided as traditional regional specialty under protection. He has an inner diameter of 3-5 cm, an outer diameter of 6-10 cm, coated with beaten egg whites and with chopped walnuts, almonds or apricot kernels sprinkled.
The history of Baumstriezels is little research and limited to a few information. The origin of this cake is in the pipe Burzenland and the Székely Land in Transylvania. Since the history of Baumstriezels is not unique, it is both the Saxons and by the Székelys, considered their traditional pastries. The Baumstriezel was the pastry for family celebrations such as baptisms, weddings, confirmations and other festivals where you did not hesitate making to enjoy this pastry fresh. The in Hungary now widespread Kürtőskalács is smaller than that in Transylvania in most cases.
It consists of a thin ribbon of light yeast dough, sometimes with a touch of cinnamon or lemon peel, and sometimes incorporating walnuts or almonds. The dough is wrapped around a cylinder timber, either sprinkled with sugar. This results in a sweet or a spiral roll, with sugar caramelised on surface Kurtoskalacs forming a sweet, crunchy crust, while the dough remains within very soft and mushy. Then can be wound in different flavors (such as cinnamon, nuts, almonds, chocolate, etc.).
The term comes from Kurto, meaning 'fire'. The original name in Hungarian singifica chimney cake, referring to the way small fireplace, steam fresh cake coming up. In Catalonia, call it Ximeneta. This name, as the original name, refers to a cake. The Kurtoskalacs consists of a strip of baked dough on a spindle which rotates slowly on wood fire. The dough is flavored with spices, usually cinnamon, then topped with walnuts or almonds and powdered sugar. Sugar is caramelized on the surface of Kurtoskalacs, creating a crispy crust.
The cake pin is a cake traditionally cooked over an open fire by pouring a slurry on a pin. It is produced in many parts of Europe, particularly in areas of mountain. The origin of the cake to the pin is discussed: a tradition attributed to the master baker of the king of Prussia that would have created in the 1790s to Salzwedel.

Cyklotrasy 014 - Baťův kanál (Funkcionalismus, vzácní brouci a italská zmrzlina)
A když podél Baťova kanálu pojedete jindy, dejte si v Hradišti pravou italskou zmrzlinu. Určitě stojí za hřích.

Along the Baťa Canal on a houseboat
From May 2008, the Bata Canal has a new quay at Otrokovice in the Zlín region. Near the rowing boathouse, a 60-metre long structure has been built consisting of a concrete landing stage, bollards and a launching ramp. The Bata Canal, which uses water from the River Morava, was originally built in the 1930s as a waterway connecting Otrokovice in the Zlín region and Rohatec in the Hodonín region.
Originally, the canal served for the transporting of lignite from mines in South Moravia to the Bata works and for providing irrigation to the surrounding fields. Since the 1990s, it has undergone a process of gradual renewal to provide for tourist cruises.
The Baťa Canal is one of the most popular tourist destinations in East Moravia. You can set out along its banks along the cycle path in the direction from Kroměříž right through to Hodonín. The total length of the cycle path is 80 kilometres.
The Bata Canal is no longer used for cargo shipment but only as a tourist waterway. People spend their holidays or weekends here, or they come in their leisure time to cruise in a boat and learn more about nature whilst onboard. Boats can be rented from any of eight boat-rentals available along the waterway. Regular cruises on large excursion boats or houseboat holidays are also very popular.
