Skibby is a town with a population of 3,127 and a former municipality in Frederikssund municipality in Region Hovedstaden in the northern part of the island of Zealand in eastern Denmark. The former Skibby municipality covered an area of 80 km², and had a total population of 6,783 . On January 1, 2007 Skibby municipality ceased to exist as the result of Kommunalreformen . It was merged with Frederikssund, Jægerspris, and Slangerup municipalities to form the new Frederikssund municipality. This created a municipality with an area of 260 km² and a total population of ca. 44,140.

Selsø is a historic manor house located near Skibby 14 km south of Frederikssund on the Danish island of Zealand. The estate was first mentioned in 1288. The manor originated in 1576 and was renovated in the Baroque style in 1734. The recently restored building is now a museum.
