CAMPING LJUBLJANA RESORT - SLOVENIA
Ljubljana Resort Camping is the most convenient place to stay if you plan to visit the city of Ljubljana. It is situated approximately 5 kilometers from the city center with an easy access by bus (the bus stop is right next to the camping site) or a short bicycle ride. The camping site itself is adjacent to the river Sava, with a picturesque jogging track along its banks. The camping site is well kempt, quiet and relaxed, with numbered pitches with gravel and grass patches. The ground is even and the area is very green offering just enough shade. The camping site also has a restaurant, a fitness center and a number of swimming pools, which you can access free of charge if you stay over 3 nights. We cannot rate the quality of this, because we were not using them. You can buy fresh rolls and croissants at the reception but there is a lovely little bakery just 2 minutes away (on the Dunajska cesta, open every day from 6 am to 10 pm) which offers a better range of fresh products and definitely less pricey. The staff at the reception are extremely helpful and nice. The toilets and shower rooms are a bit outdated but clean with hot water and without additional payment for the showers. You get a free wifi code if you stay at least 3 nights but the connection is a bit unstable. There is also free wifi at the reception. We spent 5 nights at this camping site and our overall rating is 8 out of 10 stars. The only drawback is perhaps the unstable wifi and we were a little disappointed that the swimming pools were not open until June, despite the beautiful May weather.
