The Outer Banks ( OBX ) in North Carolina during summer Vacation 2019
Outer Banks OBX North Carolina is a very beautiful locations for a family vacation ! OBX has many islands with beautiful sea shores during summer Vacation 2019
Some of the best and must places and must things to do in outerbank OBX are 1) The great Jockey Hills State park; which has amazing sand dunes which is a treat to watch (formed by wind and sand in long period of time). Its like a great desert :) 2) Enjoy the beaches 3) Hatteras lighthouse (we coudn't climb the lighthouse; otherwise it is said it gives a great view from the top). 4)Write Brothers aviation museum (it was shut down due to some renovation:( when we visited. 5) If you are a sea food lover you may visit the Captian George seafood. you can treat your taste buds :) with n number of seafood. 6)The Beach wild horses; you can take a guided trip. 7. While driving back you can stop near grave digger racing shop if you have craze for sports cars. They have built some amazing cars! 8) and last while driving back you may drive through the Chesapeake Bay (4.316 mi (6.946 km) long. Just check for the weather before you travel. Over all you will have a great fun in OBX.
Some of the best and must visit beaches and islands in outerbank OBX Nags head, Kitty Hawk etc.
NOTE - 1. problem is the beaches are not shallow and you can't enjoy playing in the beach/beaches ! 2. Nightlife is very poor; as most of the restuarents / hotels shut by 9.30 - 10 PM :( !
Better plan your vacation after checking the weather!!! You may collect a map of outer banks in local tourist center for more information. The nearest airport is Norfolk International Airport which is 82 miles drive.
