Adventurin' Across the UK in 10 Days — UK by Rail | The Travel Intern
We had SUCH A BLAST exploring the UK — we visited Edinburgh in Scotland, explored the areas Bangor, Caernarfon, Snowdonia National Park in Wales, and the beautiful city of London with day trips out. The BritRail pass was actually a real blessing. We only wished we had more time to spend in this beautiful land.
Check out our recommended 10D itinerary here:

LONDON
00:22 - Trafalgar Square
00:24 - London Eye
As with every trip to London, it wouldn’t be complete without visiting Trafalgar Square and seeing beautiful landmarks like the London Eye, Big Ben (it was under construction when we were there!), Tower Bridge, etc.
00:25 - St Paul’s Cathedral
We highly highly highly recommend getting to the top of the dome (via stairs within the cathedral, of course). It gives you BEAUTIFUL views of the city and it’s pretty cool up there, literally and figuratively :-)
00:28 - Tower Bridge
No, this is not the London Bridge that we sang nursery rhymes about in school. Haha. Check the timings to see when the bridge will be lifted to allow certain vessels to pass!
00:35 - Warner Bros. Studio Tour London
‘Nuff said. Potterheads and non-potterheads alike, please please please go for this. We can’t stress this enough.
00:50 - F Cooke
Try one of London’s oldest living fast foods here! Warning: Jellied eels might not appeal to everyone’s tastebuds, but Sherry did enjoy it. Can’t say the same for Travis though. Tip: The chilli/spicy sauce they provide is pretty amaze~
00:57 - Patty&Bun
Worth getting your hands covered with sauce. Trust. Probably one of the best burgers we’ve had!
01:02 - Borough Market
Hash, Soulfood, Monmouth Coffee
The food haven, really. We picked out Hash, Soulfood and Monmouth Coffee because these really really stood out to us. Super duper yummy!!
01:16 - Camden Market
Vintage lovers would LOVE this place. Especially over the weekend! We weren’t really vintage lovers, but we also enjoyed exploring this market. The food was also amazing. Tip: The grilled cheese sandwich is the BOMB!!!!!! There was only one store serving grilled cheese, and the smell is really strong, so…. It should be easy to spot.
DAY TRIP OUT OF LONDON
01:25 - Windsor Castle
We were there when the royal baby was born! It was especially cool because the vibes were amazing, and people were in such high spirits!
Nevertheless, the Windsor Castle is the world’s biggest and oldest occupied castle. Maybe you could catch a peek of the Queen when you visit!
01:33 - Roman Baths
Visit the ancient Roman baths in… well, Bath. The place is one of the world’s best-preserved religious spas. Get to try a sip of spring water from the springs there too! Again, warning: Might not appeal to everyone’s tastebuds. Interesting though!
01:42 - Stonehenge
How could we not visit the Stonehenge when we’re in UK?? Quite a magical and mystical experience, we have to say.
WALES
01:55 - Snowdonia National Park
We took the Snowdon mountain railway up! In the winter, it doesn’t go to the peak (Llanberis) though. The peak is actually the highest point in Wales! We really enjoyed the hike down too.
02:18 - Ainsworth’s
Super yummy fish&chips are served here. Be sure to try their specialty, mushy peas too! Great meal :-)
02:26 - Caernarfon Castle
Explore the castle and outside of it too! In the evenings, the streets outside the castle have lots of people chilling and having drinks by the river.
EDINBURGH
02:39 - Arthur’s Seat
Hike up to the highest point in Edinburgh! It gets SUPER windy up there, to the point that both of us couldn’t stand straight without holding onto a rock or each other for support. Be dressed appropriately!
02:50 - Edinburgh Castle
Visit some of Scotland’s oldest buildings that are still in this castle!
03:01 - Papii Cafe
Strawberry? Yup. Bacon? Yup. Strawberry and bacon??? WOT?? We had this reaction too. But this place was highly recommended by a friend, and so we decided to give it a try. Omg, the two complemented each other so well atop fluffy, yummy buttermilk waffles! It gets pretty crowded during breakfast, so do come early or try to avoid peak hours.
03:05 - Oink
We chanced upon this little eatery while exploring the streets of Edinburgh. They serve pulled pork roast rolls and the portions are SO generous! We were so stuffed!
03:11 - Calton Hill
We recommend catching the sunset here for gorgeous views of the city!

The Most Dangerous Tourist Attractions
Get more Tips here!
When we go on holidays, sometimes we prefer to have a relaxing trip, and some others, we prefer adventures. So for those looking for adrenaline, here are The Most Dangerous Tourists Attractions.
1) Danakil Desert, Africa
When we think of desert we think of sand and nothing else. Well, this one is different, this is a desert full of active volcanoes and geysers that spit toxic gases, and of course, under temperatures over 120ºF
2) Running of the Bulls, Spain
In Spain, they have a feat in which they release lots of bulls in a street where hundreds of people in white running in front of them. Of course, there's always some accident involving this Feast. Who would have guess it, right?
3) Cliffs of Moher, Ireland
This beautiful landscape is seeked from most of the people who visit the area. 700-foot to the Atlantic are too suggestive to avoid having a look. The problem is that people don't always use the official path or the viewing platforms, and that usually ends in an accident.
4) Hawaii’s Volcano Tours
Volcanoes are amazing, but are also very dangerous and unexpected. So if you go to Hawaii to visit the volcanoes be careful with the lava haze, the scalding ocean water and the possibility of flying rocks. If you do that, you'll be fine.
5) Skellig Michael, Ireland
To get there, you'll have to take an hour-long boat ride across rough waters, sometimes boats can't sail because of the high waves and waters. This place became famous after the shooting for Star Wars. It has 600 ancient steps up the side of the mountain with no safety, and that includes falling rocks and 1000 year old stone stairs.
6) Coiling Dragon Cliff Walkway, China
This is nothing more than a 5ft wide, glass-bottomed walkway at a height of 4,600ft on Hunan’s Tianmen Mountain. You can enjoy this terrifying attraction for 100 metres where you won't have anything else under your feet than air.
7) Death Road, Bolivia
This is the world's most dangerous road. Do you really want to try this? the road ascends to around 15,260 ft. Most of the road is the width of a single vehicle. During the rainy seasonthe water can turn the road into a muddy track. We warned you.
8) Eagles Nest Cave, United States
It seems like a regular pond however is actually a sinkhole, and one of the most dangerous diving spots in the world. You can dive 300 feet deep. There are lots of deaths in this aerea, so it's no joke.
9) Erta Ale Volcano, Africa
To come here, first you have to walk 14-kilometres uphill. Then you'll find this glowing volcano with a lake of lava. This area is full of earthquake tremors, and volcanic fumes. It really worths it, despite the terribly high temperatures and the rough conditions of the ground to get there.
10) The Colorado River, USA
This river tends to be one of the favourite options to hike, or to do some rafting. However, this river is full of accidents and fatilities. Most of them are due to the increase in the melting snowpack from higher up in Colorado’s mountain ranges, but also using of alcohol and poor equipment or preparation. So get ready before you come!

10 Things to do in Cambridge Travel Guide | London Day Trip video transcript:
Today we are here at Kings Cross station and we are going on yet another day trip. Another one. Where are we off to? Another day trip from London. We're off to Cambridge today.
There are a number of trains from Kings Cross to Cambridge with journeys ranging from 45 minutes to a little over an hour and a half. Buying your ticket in advance is always a good idea as you can get a better price, and it’s also wise to travel off peak.
If you decide to walk into town like we did, Cambridge University Botanic Garden makes for a nice little stop. The garden has over 8000 species.
It is lunchtime for us and we've walked over to the Regal. Apparently this used to be a hotel, then a cinema and now it is a pub. I've ordered breakfast and Sam is having lunch. I'm waiting for my eggs benedict and I think you're having a Steak and Ale Pie? And a pint of Guinness
Feeling stuffed from that pub fare, we started making our way into town, and it wasn’t long before we came across the River Cam which was teaming with punters. Some made it look easy, while others were struggling, but we had a different idea and decided to go visit one of the colleges.
As a fun fact: The University of Cambridge was founded in 1209, just a few decades after Oxford University, making it the second oldest university in the English-speaking world. It is divided into 31 independent colleges, and our first one of the day was Queens College.
The most popular thing to do here in Cambridge aside from of course exploring the University is to go punting. It is very crowded out there.
So next up we're inside the Great Saint Mary's Church and we're going to be climbing the tower because apparently these are the best views of all of Cambridge. We like to climb towers.
The spiralling staircase is quite narrow and it has to accommodate traffic going up and down, which requires being a contortionist at times, but that’s how you earn those views!
Next up we are doing Trinity College and this is the largest college here at Cambridge University and also it was founded by Henry VIII.
That is basically it for our travel guide from Cambridge. I feel like we barely put a dent in Cambridge. We are back at the station just waiting for our train now back to London.
This is part of our Travel in England video series showcasing British food, British culture and British cuisine.
