Stonehenge is a prehistoric monument in Wiltshire, England, 2 miles west of Amesbury. It consists of a ring of standing stones, with each standing stone around 13 feet high, 7 feet wide and weighing around 25 tons. It is located in Weyhill, Hampshire, England, near to the A303 road and the town of Andover. Founded as a zoo by local farmer Reg Smith and his wife Hilary, the park was incorporated as the Hawk Conservancy Trust in 2002. It is also the site of the National Bird of Prey Hospital, a veterinary hospital that takes in injured birds of prey.

Stowe, Vermont is best known as a winter hotspot for skiers and snowboarders, so when I recently visited over the summer, I expected to find a sleepy mountain town. Instead, Stowe was booming—the off-season is really the new “on-season.”
Stowe cherishes its small-town charm, and with warm (but not hot) weather, boutique hotels and resorts, and fresh mountain air, the the best time to visit Stowe is from late spring through early fall. And with Vail Resort’s recent purchase of the mountain, the area could see even more off-season development and new businesses

Thank you for heading over here to view this video! I’m incredibly excited to introduce my first short time lapse film, featuring my beautiful home town of Stowe, Vermont. I started shooting for it on a very cold evening in January 2014 and completed it on June 15, 2015. Many evenings and VERY early mornings were spent out on fields and mountain tops, some of them extremely cold (this is Vermont, after all). I frankly couldn’t tell you the number of photos I took, but it must be enormous. Beyond the +/- 5,000 you can see above there’s an even bigger amount that didn’t survive the editing process.

This video was produced solely by yours truly and solely on my own behalf: nobody paid me anything to create it. Nevertheless, a few acknowledgements are in order. The awesome background music was created by Blake Ewing and licensed to me by The Music Bed.
