Pattaya Hotel -- $27/Night for Penthouse Suite High Season Price Thailand
This is a new hotel in Pattaya called the Nice Hotel. In this video I viewed their Penthouse Suite on the top floor which is currently priced at 900 baht per night or about $27 per night. The downside of this room is that you have to walk up a lot of stairs to get to it. The upside is how big and nice the room is. It is also located in the center of Pattaya on Soi 13/3 just a 5 minute walk from nightlife of Walking Street and a 2 minute walk from Pattaya Beach.
I think this is a great deal and is an example of the older shophouses being refurbished and made modern, while still delivering a reasonable price.
Sungai Golok, Thailand (Jan2009)
Motorbike taxi cost only RM3.00 from the border to the Golok town here. Becarefull for the illegal/broker taxi which will try to overcharge tourist like us. They did approach me for RM10.00 but fortunately I am alert enough to know the Motorbike taxi price here is not that expensive.
Hotels here are very cheap e.g RM40 - RM70 and the budget motel is RM20 per night. As I am taking my night walk around the town I notice quite a number of army men equip with their M16 scouting around the town with their motorbike. The local told me 2 weeks ago there's a bomb exploded in a car causing several people injured and 3 died. The car was parked outside a restaurant. 4 days ago they found 30+ explosive at Betong but all this is never disclose by the media. As you can see very less tourist visiting the Golok town now comparing last time the whole street is filled with people at night but it became a quiet street now. Hope that the new government will do better this time to improve the safety of the innocent public here.
The wave of violence in Southern Thailand that began in January 2004 has continued unabated to date. Nearly 2,000 attacks have taken place in the region and the bloodshed has claimed almost 1,000 victims. According to the local, they beleived Thaksin iron fist administration is the one who caused all this commotion and chaos. News explores the possible reasons behind the current violence in southern Thailand with a focus on the violent events that took place on 28 April 2004, which resulted in the death of 107 Muslim militants in the southern Thai provinces of Pattani, Yala and Songkhla. The Tak Bai incident is an event that occurred on October 25, 2004 in Tak Bai, Thailand, which resulted in at least 85 deaths. Six local men were arrested. A demonstration was organized to demand their release and the police called in army reinforcements. After some demonstrators threw rocks and attempted to storm the police station, security forces used tear gas and gunfire in response.
I have no advise and no comment for my friends to visit this area and other parts of southern Thailand but if you asked me, I can come back here anytime, the local people here are friendly and I am comfortable with them.
This is what I found from bernama.com :
Bombs Destroy Immigration Posts In Southern Thailand
GOLOK (Southern Thailand), Jan 14 2009 (Bernama) -- Two bombs exploded at the Malaysia-Thailand checkpoint this morning, destroying three new posts belonged to the Thai immigration at the Golok bridge. The first bomb went off at 6.30am local time (7.30am Malaysian time), destroying three of the six posts. Fifteen minutes later another bomb exploded nearby, forcing the closure of the busy bridge which connects Golok in Thailand and Rantau Panjang in Kelantan, Malaysia.

SONGKRAN FESTIVAL 2018!! Thai Street Food Tour and WATER FIGHT PARTY in Bangkok, Thailand!
Happy Songkran (เทศกาลสงกรานต์) 2018 from Bangkok, Thailand!

Songkran is Thai New Years (เทศกาลสงกรานต์), which takes place every year from April 13 - 15. It’s one of the most important periods of time in Thailand and the most celebrated holiday of the year. It’s a time when friends and family get to together to spend time with each other, eat, bless each other, and enjoy one of the biggest water fights in the world!
This year I decided to spend the first day of Songkran in Bangkok, on a Thai street food water fight tour of Bangkok. After getting dressed in my Songkran flower shirt, which I’m pretty happy about, we jumped on the BTS and headed to Sala Daeng station, Silom (สีลม). Silom is known to have one of the best walking street water fights during Songkran in Bangkok. It was busy, but there’s a lot of space as well.
As for Thai food during Songkran, if you’re having a family meal, you might have a nice seafood meal, but when you’re water fighting, probably the favorite quick meal on the go during Songkran is khao kai jeow (ข้าวไข่เจียว) - 30 THB ($0.96), a Thai omelet over rice. And we found the perfect hilarious man making omelets that puffed up to inner tube. I still don’t know how he did that!
Sai krok Isaan (ไส้กรอกอีสาน) - 10 THB ($0.32) - After some more water fighting in Silom, we ate some sai krok Isaan, sausage.
Khao San Road (ถนนข้าวสาร) - One of the most famous places to play water in Bangkok during Songkran in Khao San Road, and when we arrived there in the middle of the afternoon, it was hectic and packed, and pretty fun as well.
Khanom jeen nam ya kati (ขนมจีนน้ำยากะทิ) - 40 THB ($1.28) - On this Thai street food water fight Songkran 2018 tour, we stopped to eat khanom jeen nam ya kati, a fish and coconut milk curry served over soft rice noodles. It was pretty awesomely good, especially with some extra chilies and lemon basil.
Shawarma - 100 THB ($3.20) - After walking playing water on Khao San Road for a little while, we decided to try the shawarma at the front of the road. At first I didn’t order cheese, but when I saw she busted out the blowtorch, I needed it. Not the greatest shawarma, but it tasted pretty good at that time and place.
Cha yen (ชาเย็น) - 20 THB ($0.64) - Finally to end this Thai street food tour of Bangkok Songkran, we had a cha yen from a friendly man at the front of Khao San Road.
Wishing you and your family a Happy Songkran (เทศกาลสงกรานต์), Thai New Year, and all other New Year celebrations in this region of the world 2018!
Thank you for watching!

Best Things to do in Langkawi - Malaysia
Langkawi, officially known as Langkawi, the Jewel of Kedah, is a district and an archipelago of 99 islands in the Andaman Sea some 30 km off the mainland coast of northwestern Malaysia. The islands are a part of the state of Kedah, which is adjacent to the Thai border.
1. Durian Perangin Waterfall:
This lovely waterfall has been named after the Durian trees that bear spiny oval tropical fruits and can be found in abundance around this waterfall area. Durian Perangin Waterfall is located at the north eastern side of Langkawi and north of Kilim Village. The entrance is from a car park and through small shops and stalls.
2. Air Hangat Village:
Air Hangat (also spelled as Ayer Hangat) Village is a modern cultural complex located 14km north of Kuah Town. The center of the attraction here is the three-tiered hot water spring wells.
3.Pantai Kok:
The beach along Pantai Kok is dominated by mostly high-end upscale resorts like the Sheraton and Tanjung Sanctuary. The beach is beautiful with clean sands and clear waters but it’s the tourist attractions, as well as the relative peace and quiet, that makes this place so popular.
4.Tanjung Rhu:
Located just beyond Pantai Pasir Hitam, Tanjung Rhu has one of Langkawi’s best shorelines. The waters are as clear as crystal, the sand is powder-fine and driving towards this beach you’ll have to pass a dense corridor of jungle. The area is absolutely secluded and the atmosphere is silent and peaceful. Bordered by intermittent limestone crags, Tanjung Rhu is gorgeously breathtaking and even though it may be as hot as Hades in some of the other areas of Langkawi, here the air is crisp, clean and cool.
5. Oriental Village :
Oriental Village is best known as the home of the Langkawi Cable Car and Sky Bridge. It is a themed open-air complex with a huge lake in the centre and an art gallery, animal exhibits, clothes, souvenir and handicraft stores spread out around it plus a few local and international restaurants.

Walking in CHANTHABURI / Thailand - 4K 60fps (UHD)
The small town of Chanthaburi in the east of Thailand is on the way to Koh Chang from Bangkok or Pattaya. The city is a bit known for the gems trade. There is a nice waterfront with restaurants overlooking the Chanthaburi River - good for one or two days to stay there.
We start the walk at the banks of the river, walk over the bridge into the older part of the city. There we check small side streets and cross over to Cathedral of Immaculate Conception - a catholic church. Back to the streets again we walk till the end and over the other other side once more for a look at the Chanthaburi waterfront as seen on the video thumbnail.
