El Salvador Exploring Suchitoto (2019) | Backpacking El Salvador Travel Series
Suchitoto is a wonderful picturesque town in El Salvador. As we continue our El Salvador backpacking series we explore Suchitoto a town filled with colourful building and has a lovely square over looked by the main Church.
We sample some local foods and try some Salvadorian coffee. El Salvador is known for having some of the best coffee and we'd had to agree.
Whilst travelling we heard lot of people saying El Salvador is dangerous or asking us is El Salvador safe? Well from our personal experience we didn't feel in any danger during our time in El Salvador.

I have been loving the food in El Salvador. I visited the markets in San Salvador and tried local food, as well as visiting Juayua and it's famous food market.

Arriving in Suchitoto (2019) Restaurant with the best views - Backpacking El Salvador
In this episode we arrive in the town of Suchitoto in El Salvador. We head to a restaurant called Casa 1800 , which has the most awesome views over lake Suchitlan. In fact we think it may be the best view we have ever seen from a restaurant. Not only does it have amazing views it also had the most delicious food - so make sure you visit Casa 1800 if you do stay in Suchitoto.
We stayed at the most wonderful hotel called Casa Hotel Santa Lucia. Located right on the main square in Suchitoto it is the perfect location to explore the town and soak up the atmosphere.

After a crazy night out in Antigua, Guatemala, I continued backpacking through Central America. I took a shuttle from Antigua to El Zonte, El Salvador. The border crossing from Guatemala to El Salvador went smoothly. I arrived in a quiet beach town where the main things to do were relaxing in a hammock or surfing. Although I was traveling alone as a woman in El Salvador, I didn't feel unsafe.

Is Honduras safe for a SOLO FEMALE TRAVELER?
Is traveling in Honduras dangerous ? Is it safe to travel Honduras as a solo traveler ? How about, is you're a solo female traveler, is it safe to be traveling alone in Honduras as a woman ? These are a few of the questions many backpackers and travellers ask themselves when planning which countries to visit in Central America. Many travellers indeed do decide to skip Honduras and it's neighbouring country El Salvador, as both countries have a really bad reputation and are notorious for their high murder rates. In this video, I do a little research whether Honduras really is as dangerous as its bad rep seems to suggests and whether I should (have) skip(ed) Honduras like everyone advised. I also tell you the reasons why I chose to travel, couchsurf and hitchhike in Honduras and why I did not want to leave it out while backpacking through Central America.

Travel El Salvador | FEMALE SOLO TRAVELER | Ep. 42 | El Zonte
I HAD TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL. First time ever I experienced hospitalization while traveling (and in general), was in El Salvador, El Zonte. Thank god I had a good traveler's insurance that covered all my medical bills. Two days of hospitalization cost me in total nearly 1000 dollars... so needless to say that my poor backpacker ass would have been pretty broke after this incident.
