Summerland is a town on the west side of Okanagan Lake in the interior of British Columbia, Canada. The district is between Peachland to the north and Penticton to the south. The largest centre in the region is Kelowna, approximately 50 km to the north , and Vancouver is approximately 425 km away to the west. The district is famous for Bottleneck drive, a system of roads connecting a large number of wineries.

1. Kettle Valley Steam Railway Summerland
The Kettle Valley Steam Railway is a heritage railway near Summerland, British Columbia. The KVSR operates excursion trains over the only remaining section of the Kettle Valley Railway. This section runs from Faulder to Trout Creek, running through West Summerland and the Prairie Valley railway station. The line runs through beautiful vistas, orchards, vineyards, and over the 238-foot tall Trout Creek Trestle. Trains are operated from Spring through Fall each year and include special events such as the Great Train Robbery and Christmas Express. Trains are pulled by ex-Canadian Pacific 2-8-0 steam locomotive #3716 , built in 1912. The railway also has an ALCO S-6 diesel electric locomotive . Aerial journey over places and scenery in the beautiful Okanagan Valley. Mostly the Naramata Bench but locations include Mt. Kobau near Osoyoos, cliffs on Skaha Lake, Penticton, and Giant's Head in Summerland.

The weekend of May 8 - 10 is going to be a stunner in Kelown. We will have a sunny Friday evening, and highs of 28 have been predicted for both the Saturday and Sunday. Hiking enthusiasts have a prime opportunity to get out and enjoy the weather, so KelownaNow reporter Lauren Hjalmarson put together a video highlighting ten of the best hiking spots throughout the Okanagan.

One more thing is that there is opportunity to foster your business and entrepreneurial skills..
Is British Columbia Perfect? NO. But as someone who has lived here for more than 40 years, it is not bad, and in many videos I've said that sometimes it seems like we are in a world of our own. Away from all or most of the negative stuff that envelops much of the rest of the world.
