Mantova | Italy | Travel Vlog by Travelling Sunglasses
Hello! This is our snapshot of Mantova, a little-known, beautiful Italian town full of history and treasures. We visited during the amazing literature festival Festivaletteratura, which brings a unique and powerful vibe and tons of interesting events in many languages! I (Giulia) worked for the festival a few years ago and have family here, so it was quite a personal trip :)

Italy (pt1) (short clip)
And now for something different. We now head to Italy, care of one of my friends who filmed these scenes for me. Due to upload speeds, i've split this into two short video's.
So for part one we have a brief visit to Bovolone railway station. Here we see a DMU call at this station. In the next part we visit Verona station. With thanks to Mr G.Ferrari for taking time to film these clips for me.
Part 2 coming next....

Pavia and its region
The province of Pavia is rich in history and art, the green landscape is reflected in the rice paddies of Lomellina, and flows through the rolling hills of Oltrepò.
This is a province full of countless castles, churches and abbeys in age-old villages and towns waiting to be discovered.
But this is also a province renowned for its excellent foods and wines: the famous goose meat salami of Mortara, the sausage meats of the Oltrepò all to be tasted with a glass of the excellent local wine, only a couple of examples of the many local dishes and products, grown and prepared from natural produce with loving care according to traditional recipes.
Ferrara - Emilia Romagna
Ferrara is a city and comune in Emilia-Romagna, northern Italy, capital city of the Province of Ferrara. It is situated 50 km north-northeast of Bologna, on the Po di Volano, a branch channel of the main stream of the Po River, located 5 km north. The town has broad streets and numerous palaces dating from the 14th century and 15th century, when it hosted the court of the House of Este. For its beauty and cultural importance it has been qualified by UNESCO as World Heritage Site. Modern times have brought a renewal of industrial activity. Ferrara is on the main rail line from Bologna to Padua and Venice, and has branches to Ravenna, Poggio Rusco (for Suzzara) and Codigoro. In 2006, due to its important historical significance, Ferrara became the headquarters of the Italian Hermitage Museum, as the result be the fifth city in the world to have linked his name with the Russian museum. From this union was born the Hermitage-Italy Foundation. ( source Wikipedia )
