See the best accommodation Parque Nacional Los Glaciares (Spanish: The Glaciers) is a national park in the Santa Cruz Province, in Argentine Patagonia. It comprises an area of 4459 km². In 1981 it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
The national park, created in 1937, is the second largest in Argentina. Its name refers to the giant ice cap in the Andes range that feeds 47 large glaciers, of which only 13 flow towards the Atlantic Ocean. The ice cap is the largest outside of Antarctica and Greenland. In other parts of the world, glaciers start at a height of at least 2,500 meters above mean sea level, but due to the size of the ice cap, these glaciers begin at only 1,500m, sliding down to 200m AMSL, eroding the surface of the mountains that support them.

Iguazu falls
This is one of the largest waterfalls in the world.It is situated on the border between Argentina & Brazil.These were created where the Igazu river broaden to around 1.5 km & then plunges nearly 100m off a basalt plateau in a series of 274 separate cataracts. Most visitors reach the falls from the Argentine side through the city of Puerto Iguazu . This falls was declared one of the new seven wonders of nature in 2011.
Perito Moreno Glacier
This glacier is a tourists attraction. It is in the small town of El Calafate. Most of the tourists arrive here for the purpose of visiting this glacier. They can view this glacier from a small boat on lake Argentino or from three viewing places on land. There are also viewing platforms & trails that make the visit & the observation easy & enjoyable.
Mount Fitz Roy
This is also known as Monte Fitz Roy or Cerro Fitz Roy. It is located near El Chalters village. It is 3375m( 11,073 ft) high

Ushuaia
This is the world’s southernmost city,Its nick name is the”End of the world”. It is located on the Beagle channel, very edge of the continent of South America. Ushuaia was established as a penal colony in the early 20th Century because of its isolated location. This is a charming town near the edge of the southern Patagonian Ice field in the province of Santa Cruz. It is mainly known as the gate way to Los Glaciares National Park. It serves as a starting point for many tourists excursions.
Garajonay National Park - UNESCO World Heritage Site
Garajonay National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site on the island of La Gomera in the Canary Islands, is a small volcanic island covered in ancient laurel forests. Once covering all of Europe, these days the forests can only be found here on La Gomera, thanks to the changing climate. We spent a beautiful day trip here, hiking through the forests and enjoying the incredible scenery. Enjoy!

5) Quebrada de Humahuaca
Quebrada de Humahuaca follows the line of a major cultural route, the Camino Inca, along the spectacular valley of the Rio Grande, from its source in the cold high desert plateau of the High Andean lands to its confluence with the Rio Leone some 150 km to the south. The valley shows substantial evidence of its use as a major trade route over the past 10,000 years. It features visible traces of prehistoric hunter-gatherer communities, of the Inca Empire (15th to 16th centuries) and of the fight for independence in the 19th and 20th centuries.
4) Ischigualasto / Talampaya Natural Parks
These two contiguous parks, extending over 275,300 ha in the desert region on the western border of the Sierra Pampeanas of central Argentina, contain the most complete continental fossil record known from the Triassic Period (245-208 million years ago). Six geological formations in the parks contain fossils of a wide range of ancestors of mammals, dinosaurs and plants revealing the evolution of vertebrates and the nature of palaeo-environments in the Triassic Period.
3) Qhapaq Ñan, Andean Road System
This site is an extensive Inca communication, trade and defence network of roads covering 30,000 km. Constructed by the Incas over several centuries and partly based on pre-Inca infrastructure, this extraordinary network through one of the world’s most extreme geographical terrains linked the snow-capped peaks of the Andes – at an altitude of more than 6,000 m – to the coast, running through hot rainforests, fertile valleys and absolute deserts. It reached its maximum expansion in the 15th century, when it spread across the length and breadth of the Andes. The Qhapac Ñan, Andean Road System includes 273 component sites spread over more than 6,000 km that were selected to highlight the social, political, architectural and engineering achievements of the network, along with its associated infrastructure for trade, accommodation and storage, as well as sites of religious significance.
2) Cueva de las Manos, Río Pinturas
The Cueva de las Manos, Río Pinturas, contains an exceptional assemblage of cave art, executed between 13,000 and 9,500 years ago. It takes its name (Cave of the Hands) from the stencilled outlines of human hands in the cave, but there are also many depictions of animals, such as guanacos (Lama guanicoe ), still commonly found in the region, as well as hunting scenes. The people responsible for the paintings may have been the ancestors of the historic hunter-gatherer communities of Patagonia found by European settlers in the 19th century.

The semicircular waterfall at the heart of this site is some 80 m high and 2,700 m in diameter and is situated on a basaltic line spanning the border between Argentina and Brazil. Made up of many cascades producing vast sprays of water, it is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the world. The surrounding subtropical rainforest has over 2,000 species of vascular plants and is home to the typical wildlife of the region: tapirs, giant anteaters, howler monkeys, ocelots, jaguars and caymans.

Starting from our hotel on La Gomera, we first travel up the Valle Gran Ray. We then stop at a viewpoint designed by Cesar Manrique which gives a Spectacular view over the valley. Finally we travel through the Garajonay national Park, where we have a stop at the Visitors Centre.
N Argentina: Bizarre Triassic Period Ischigualasto Park Moon Valley
Ischigualasto Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, isn't far from Villa Union, Argentina. some of the oldest known dinosaur remains as well as fossils can be found here from the 45-million year Triassic Period.
Millions of years of wind erosion on the terrain of sandstone and mudstone has given the park the popular name of Valley of the Moon or Moon Valley.
A ranger leads a caravan of cars through the park along a set route, stops, and explains in Spanish only! Fluency in Spanish is necessary if traveling alone, a guide, or you won't have a clue about the park sights.
