No firearms and ammo allowed into Mexico!!!
99.99% of people in that area are Mexicans, legally or illegally in USA.
Very hard to find a person who is willing to speak English with you.
Very interesting to drive in that area but actually to live AND work there... that's another story for another day.

Downtown Brownsville, TX border crossing into Mexico:
100% of ppl in this area are either Mexican nationals or U.S citizens of Mexican descent, most of them speak no English at all including those working at UETA Duty Free stores.
English is a foreign language in this area same like any border area from San Diego, California to Brownsville, Texas.
No Spanish no work for you in Mexico North.
You feel like you're rather in Rural Mexico than in USA.
Grutas de Tolantongo Hidalgo, qué hacer y cómo llegar
Las Grutas de Tolantongo son un parque ecoturístico famoso por sus pozas de agua termal, en este video te decimos todo lo que necesitas saber para visitarlo y aprovecharlo al máximo.
*Grutas de Tolantongo
Están en la Sierra del Estado de Hidalgo, se caracterizan por tener un rio de agua termal color turqueza que desde hace siglos se le conoce como Tolantongo que quiere decir, lugar donde se siente calorsito
*Cómo llegar a las Grutas de Tolantongo
-Desde la ciudad de México hay que tomar la carretera hacia Pachuca, de ahí desviarse hacia Actopan y seguir rumbo a Ixmiquilpan, ya en ese pueblo, tomar la desviación hacia las Grutas de Tolantongo, pero hay que tener cuidado y no manejar de noche pues el último tramo hacia el parque puede ser peligroso si no hay luz.
*Cómo llegar a Tolantongo en avión
El aeropuerto más cercano a Tolantongo es:
Aeropuerto Nacional de Pachuca (PCA)

*Qué hacer en las Grutas de Tolantongo
-Aquí hay varias actividades recreativas para toda la familia, nosotros te recomendamos realizar el siguiente recorrido:
1.- Relajarte temprano en las pozas termales del Hotel Paraíso Esconido.
2.-Pasar por el puente colgante y regresar por el tunel de vapor.
3.-Desayunar en la cocina económica Paraiso.
4.-Visitar las Grutas y el el segundo tunel dentro de la Cascada Tolantongo.
5.-Disfrutar la tarde nadando en el río termal.
6.-Comer antojitos en las fondas de los hoteles
7.-Hacer una fogata y pasar la noche mirando las estrellas.
También hay toboganes, piscinas y el parque cuenta con la tirolesa más larga de Hidalgo, sin embargo no hicimos esas actividades por que nos dedicamos a relajarnos y se nos pasó el tiempo.
*Como tips recuerden:
-Llevar dinero en efectivo, ya que no se aceptan tarjetas en Tolantongo.
-Usar Zapátos acuáticos dentro de las Pozas, las Grutas y el río.
-Respetar los horarios y seguir las indicaciones del staff.

Mazamitla, Jalisco is BEAUTIFUL!!
Mexico's nature is amazing and more specifically, central Mexico is beautiful. In this video, we visit the picturesque Pueblo Magico of Mazamitla in the state of Jalisco.
Truly, you don't need a beach to find beauty in Mexico, even though that's what many people across the world might believe.
This weekend, we were delighted to explore a pueblo magico (two actually!) in the state of Jalisco, Mexico. We got to see our first Mexico waterfall, try our first Vampirito, and explore Mazamitla with a local, our friend Emma. We even took some time for trying Mexican candy before hiking down to the waterfall.
Before coming here, hundreds of our subscribers urged us to travel here, saying it's one of many places you must visit in Mexico. Do we recommend it for Mexico places to visit? You bet! Mexico's amazing nature extends beyond beaches and margaritas (though they are nice sometimes too). Traveling in Mexico is so memorable and special. We truly cherish all the opportunities to try new things and learn more about the culture.
In today's travel blog, we're going to show you an excellent option for tourism near Guadalajara, México. We love to encourage international travel and this is just one more reason to become an expat.
BOCA CHICA BEACH, TEXAS - RIO GRANDE - MEXICO BORDER
PLEASE READ VIDEO DESCRIPTION!
First part of the video is getting to Boca Chica Beach, second part, pictures only, the location where Rio Grande flows into Gulf of Mexico and the natural border btwn USA/Texas and Mexico.
The only way to get to Boca Chica Beach is via Texas State Highway 4, also called Boca Chica Blvd:
That highway takes you right by the Mexico geographical border, at one point in the video you see the Border Patrol Checkpoint you cannot avoid when coming back to Brownsville.
The road ends to Boca Chica Beach and Boca Chica State Park:
Now that you've made it to Boca Chica Beach, you can park your car on the beach and enjoy a great relaxing time on the beach OR... start walking about FIVE MILES to the only location where Rio Grande meets Gulf of Mexico.
Pretty rough and rugged terrain, on a portion of that distance you can use a normal P/U truck or 4x4 vehicle but at one point only a Monster Truck will get you to the final destination.
And IF you get stuck in that extremely-remote area, that's nobody around to get your vehicle back to... reality.
Also, while walking in that wild area, you can meet anybody around, illegal aliens, criminals, wild and dangerous animals, etc.
MUST take a photo/video camera with you.
All pictures were taken from the Texas side, all ppl you see in the pictures are Mexican nationals including those on the USA/Texas side and none spoke any English.
You can easily walk from one side to another, no passport or visa required. LOL
Also in those pictures, at one point, out of nowhere, a Mexican Military P/U Truck showed-up, I guess that was Mexican Military (Federales), I gave them the two thumbs-up and they immediately waived their hand to me, in a friendly way of course.
Then, when you're done with taking pictures, prepare for the 5-mile walk back to your car.
Chose a sunny day (no rain and no winds) for that unique wild adventure.
On your way back to Brownsville, MUST stop at the Border Patrol Checkpoint on Texas 4 (next video).
