Cuddalore is a famous Shiva temple here. Sri Paataleeswarar is the presiding Deity with Brahannayaki Amman. This is an ancient and beautiful temple. Five kilometres from the main busstand is the town Thiruvahindrapuram where the famous Vaishnavite temple of Sri Devanathan is situated. Hayagrivar Sannadhi located in small Hillock nearby this temple is well-known. Thiruvahindrapuram is one of the famous 108 Vaishnavite temples in India. There is also a temple for Veera Anjaneyar very near the bus stand.
You can buy good variety of Clay dolls for Navarathri from nearby place Vandipalayam (about 2 km). Also, there is a town called Panruti, 21 km from here, which is famous for its Palaa Pazham (Jack fruit), Cashew nuts, and ground nuts. On the way from Cuddalore to Panruti you can find a place called Thiruvathigai where a famous Shiva temple is located. There is a famous farm in Palur near Panruti where you can get all kinds of plants. Agriculture research is also being carried out in Palur farm. Panruti dolls are also famous. This town is easily accessible by frequent local buses

Suruli Falls is Located in Theni District TamilNadu. We got a chance to visit the falls by january. We have shared our trip videos in the video. Suruli Falls is located 56 km (35 mi) from Theni and 10 km (6.2 mi) from Cumbum in the Theni District in Tamil Nadu, India. It is a 2 stage Cascading water fall. The Suruli River supplying the falls originates from the Meghamalai mountain range. The falls drop from a height of 150 feet (46 m) gathers into a pool, flows for a short distance and again plummets an additional 40 feet (12 m).
It is one of the major tourist attractions in the Theni district and draws tourists from different parts of the state, particularly during the southwest monsoon. June - October is the best season due to monsoon activity, though there is some flow year round.
There are frequent bus services available from Cumbum and Uthamapalayam to reach this falls on the way to Periyar National Park. The Tamil Nadu Tourism Department celebrates summer festival at Suruli falls every year.

Idol of Agasthya Muni at the top of Agasthyamalai peak. Suruli hills is the part of the Pothigai Malai. These hills are visited by several saints and sages from Himalayas particularly on a full moon day. Suruli Velappar Temple in praise of Kartikeya is located near the falls. This temple is shaped like an OM Pranava. 800 m (2,600 ft) above the fall is the Kailasanathar Cave Temple. At Kailasanathar cave a lot of Sidhars meditate at a natural spring with waters having medicinal powers.
