“Thessaloniki is brilliant!” said hammersmithtownie, one of several who put it on their list of destinations for the best alternative city break. The historical White Tower is the obvious landmark and there’s a great bar, cafe and nightlife scene. As we recently reported, in our foodie traveller series, it’s also home to the incrediblebougatsan creation – a cross between a croissant and a custard pie … more at

Proussos, Greece - Sterea / Central Greece - AtlasVisual
Greece Video Map:
Proussos is 32 km from Karpenisi in Sterea or Central Greece, in a lush wild green area where Karpenisiotis river flows through. There are shops with traditional and folk art products, many hotels and taverns with good food. The village is famous for the impressive monastery of Panagia Prousiotisa, built on a steep rock. It is worth seeing the remarkable museum with valuable scripts and items.

Ride the Ferrocarril Central Andino! Part 3: Inferillo bridge and more!
Part 3 of my journey aboard a northbound freight on the Ferrocarrill Central Andino. (FCCA). This segment takes us from where we left off just outside of San Mateo to just outside of Casapalanca. In addition to the many tunnels and amazing vistas we will pass through several highlights of the line. First off is the famous Puente Inferillo or Hell bridge, a short steel span passing through a tight canyon with high rock walls on either side. We will traverse the Cacray switchback and cross the Puente Anche, a similar steel structure. Unfortunately technical/human error led to me entirely missing the Chicla switchback so I have added in a few photos for this segment. The clip ends as we approach the mining town of Casapalanca which will be featured in the next clip. For photos and more information visit my blog here:
Berlin Sightseeing City Tour
Lisbon, tram no 28, 4K video
The number 28 Lisbon tram connects Martim Moniz with Campo Ourique, and passes through the popular tourist districts of Graca, Alfama, Baixa and Estrela. For visitors, this is the classic Lisbon tram journey, riding in the quaint yellow tram as it screeches and rattles through the narrow streets of the city.
The number 28 tram as it wizzes through the Sao Bento district
The delightful Remodelado trams date from the 1930s and in any other city they would be housed in a museum, but in Lisbon they are an integral part of the public transport network. These historic trams are still in use, as the 28 route is completely unsuitable for modern trams due to its numerous tight turns and steep gradients.
A ride along the entire 28 tram route provides one of the best tours of the capital and is often a highlight of any holiday to Lisbon. This article will provide an introduction to the number 28 tram, and includes fares, tourist advice and popular tourist attractions along the route.

Shots of memorable scenes with our cameras - 'arms' - of a rare train, in a rare place, at a rare moment with a 'rare' engine driver. He doesn't know where we stand. We share the same feelings. He shakes his arms.... Thank you Mr Driver!
Lighting: Flashlight Nitecore TM28 (Tiny Monster) at 4500 lumens. Max. output 6000 lumens at turbo mode.
A different full moon for both of us and the engine driver in one of the most remote railway bridges in Greece, that in Asopos at 206 km from Athens (Bralos Rail Pass). 38°47'03.2N 22°25'57.6E / 38.784222, 22.432657 - Φαράγγι Ασωπός.
