This month we had a big water leak somewhere under the house so we had to shut off the water for 5 days until we got someone with the right equipment to find it. I was showering in the garden using the hosepipe and we had to revert to buckets to flush the loos. Fixed now but typically the insurance company doesn't want to pay out - they are the same the world over.
We did a couple of big dog walks in the Lajares barrancos.
I had yet another tooth implant - unplanned this time.
I had an annual bonfire and cut down my Agave flower stem.
We went to our Spanish teacher, Sally's 40th birthday meal at Citrus Cafe in Corralejo.

Cuevas de Ajuy
Se encuentran en un pequeño pueblo de unos 150 habitantes, a unos 9,5 km de Pájara al que se accede por la carretera FV-621.
El Monumento Natural de Ajuy, declarado en 1987, tiene una superficie de 31,8 hectáreas y se encuentra en la costa oeste de Fuerteventura. Está englobado en el Parque Rural de Betancuria, uno de los Espacios Naturales Protegidos de Fuerteventura. Estas cuevas naturales que las coladas de lava han formado en los acantilados, algunos de 40 metros de altura, son uno de los reclamos turísticos de Ajuy.
El recorrido, hasta llegar a las cuevas, se encuentra al final de la playa, en su extremo norte, junto a la desembocadura del barranco de Ajuy. El acceso comienza en una cómoda y amplia rampa de piedra, y se prolonga unos 1,5 Km. por unos impresionantes acantilados de 100 millones de años de antigüedad, uno de los pocos sitios donde pueden ser observadas estas rocas que pertenecen al cretácico y que han sido creadas en las profundidades marinas, las rocas más antiguas de toda Canarias, el llamado Complejo Basal en los que se pueden observar fósiles de gasterópodos marinos, formaciones rocosas, y sedimentos oceánicos ígneos y volcánicos que nos cuentan el origen y la formación de Fuerteventura hace más de 70 millones de años. Por diversos procesos geológicos podemos encontrar aquí muestras de la corteza oceánica que se formó a 3.000 metros de profundidad aproximadamente, pero por increíble que parezca la corteza se levantó hace millones de años y podemos observarlas en este lugar por encima del nivel del mar. El monumento posee además, formas heredadas de otros tiempos (principalmente de Pleistoceno) modeladas en condiciones ambientales y climáticas diferentes a las actuales, ampliando así la belleza y el interés del lugar.
