Grindsted - A Traffical Centre
Between 1914 and 1919 Grindsted turned into a dynamic town with railways in six directions, an impressive station building, three platforms connected by subways, warehouses, a roundhouse, a water tower and a turntable. Covering approx. 140,000 square metres Grindsted had the 3rd biggest station area in Denmark.
The Birth of Grindsted
Due to the railways, Grindsted changed from being a village on the moor to a fast growing town with big industrial companies, asphalt roads, shops selling all kinds of articles, several grocery shops and a petrol pump on practically each street corner. The town grew from a little more than a few hundred people to thousands.
The Railways
The Danish State built the line between Langa and Bramming. The rest were private railways. The station building was finished on 1-Dec 1916. The architect was Prof. H. Wenck, who also designed the Copenhagen Central Station.
Railway Lines
20-May 1914 Vejle-Vandel-Grindsted
01-Dec 1916 Bramming-Grindsted
25-Aug 1917 Troldhede-Grindsted-Kolding-Vejen
01-Dec 1917 Grindsted-Brande
12-Apr 1919 Varde-Grindsted
The Closing Down
Between 1957 and 1972 the railway lines closed down one by one. The state line continued to carry goods until the mid 80s, and up to 2012 goods have been transported to Grindstedværket (a chemical factory). The rails between Grindsted and Bramming were officially closed down in 2014.

At the tip of Amager landevej, where the road ends at one of Copenhagen Airport's runways, is one of Denmark more special takeaways, Flyvergrillen. Here you can both get hungry asked, while keeping an eye on takeoffs and landings at Copenhagen Airport. Flyvergrillen, Denmark's best views of the runways at Copenhagen Airport.
Flyvergrillen was born in April 1972 - initially in the form of a small icehouse on a truck, every day was pulled down at the end of Amager Road. The Icehouse quickly became a popular destination, and gradually grew revenue so much that we also began selling sausages and hot dogs, and thus was Flyvergrillen a reality.
Today Flyvergrillen a full-grown snack bar with its own viewing platform from which to watch the most starting and landing aircraft at Copenhagen Airport. Therefore, instead also true popular among the so-called spotters - people who have made it their hobby to distinguish different types of aircraft from each other.
Inside the grill bar has many planespotters hung photos of various airliners up, and also hangs models of airliners from the ceiling. If you want to be completely up-to-date with traffic, you can of course via teletext follow the departure and arrival times.
The current owner has also permission to expand Flyvergrillen up to 14 meters. Therefore, the many planespotters look forward to an even better view of the airport when the holder at a time can afford to build a viewing pavilion on top of the existing building. Flyvergrillen is open every day of the year from the time. 10.30. Dog keeps been closed Christmas Eve and first Christmas Day and New Year's Eve.

Cutest Little Soldier - Dybbøl Battlegrounds | Denmark Travel Video
We're continuing to explore Southern Jutland, and in this video we're at Dybbøl Battlegrounds, where a big war took place in 1864 that had a huge impact on Denmark back then. The battle was about the Southern parts of Denmark, and whether or not they should belong to Germany or Denmark, and the history behind it is so interesting! I love teaching Max about history and making it fun for him, and this was a cool place to explore and learn more about the war.

Bolivia Vacation Travel Guide | Expedia
Bolivia, a landlocked South American country, holds the promise of discovery for adventurous souls. While pretty Sucre, “La Ciudad Blanca,” is Bolivia’s judicial capital, La Paz is its political capital and also its main tourist hub.
On the Mirador at Laikacota, you get a feel for how incredibly high up in the Andes this city sits. Deep in the valley below lies the central Plaza Murillo, home to the most precious buildings: the Presidential Palace, National Congress and Metropolitan Cathedral. Most visitors stay near the Plaza San Francisco, because of its proximity to hidden gems, such as the curious Witches’ Market, the Musical Instrument Museum and the Coca Museum.
Around La Paz, you can ride down “El Camino de la Muerte, hike through the lunar landscape of Valle de la Luna and great the alpacas that road around the Tiwanaku Cultural Heritage Site.
Bolivia is a diamond in the rough. It’s relatively poor and undeveloped, but its extremely authentic, colorful and cultural. Bolivia’s riches shine through in the country’s high altiplanos, its floating reed islands on Lake Titicaca, the silver mines of Potosi, the infinite salt flats of the Salar de Uyuni and the untamed tropical lowlands in the vast Amazon basin.
