We're going where? Cuneo, Italy
We just happened upon Cuneo, a city, and comune in Piedmont, Northern Italy and ended up staying for a few days. There is a lovely (totally free) 'area sosta' right on the edge of the park adjacent to the river with a glass elevator taking you to the main piazza in minutes. As luck would have it the annual Illuminata (Festiva Of LIght) coincided with our stay and we were entertained by a wonderful spectacle.
Cuneo is well worth a stop in the north of Italy - the beautifully restored Via Roma pedestrian street as well as the architecture around the piazzas alone makes it a worth your time. There's a relaxed vibe to the city and we really enjoyed our short stay!

Dozza, Italy Flyover
Today's flight comes from a small town in the north of Italy called Dozza. Dozza is located about 40 km (25 miles) southeast of Bologna and is known for the wonderful murals painted on the walls of the buildings as well as the Sforza Castle. Our italian family took us there this afternoon to explore a bit, so I obviously took the opportunity to go for a flight. I'm still learning to fly this thing, but enjoying it all the same.

With almost one film per day, one may be forgiven for thinking I do nothing else but I do have a day job as well. There are a number of films here on the packaging industry. This is because I am the publisher of Central and Eastern European Packaging -- - the international platform for the packaging industry in this region focussing on the latest innovations, trends, design, branding, legislation and environmental issues with in-depth profiles of major industry achievers. Most people may think packaging pretty boring but it possibly effects your life more than you really imagine!
Central and Eastern European Packaging examines the packaging industry throughout this region, but in particular in the largest regional economies which are Russia, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Ukraine and Austria. That is not to say that the other countries are forgotten, they are not, but obviously there is less going on. However the fact that there are so many travel related films here is not from holidays but from business trips attending trade fairs around the region and the sites and give a pretty good idea where future films are going to come from! Every packaging trade fair is a new excuse to make another film!
In 1997 I founded Polish Business News .There are a number of business related films here and I intend to do many more on CRM (customer relations management).

LAGO BLU a Breuil-Cervinia e MONTE CERVINO (Valtournenche, Valle d'Aosta)
Il lago blu è situato a circa mezz’ora di cammino o alcuni minuti di macchina dal centro di Breuil Cervinia, sulla strada regionale che sale da Valtournenche.
Contornato da larici secolari, il piccolo specchio d’acqua, essendo alimentato da acqua sorgiva, è sempre limpidissimo e consente al Cervino di specchiarvisi dentro.
Poco distante si trovano i laghetti Layet, tre pozze di acqua sorgiva di colore diverso, adagiati in un verde pascolo affacciato sulla valle.
A poca distanza dal Giomein, a un paio d’ore da Valtournenche, in una conca verdissima, tra pendici coperte d’erica rosata e di rododendri vermigli , tra macchie d’abeti bui, si stende un piccolo lago alpestre. E’ il “Lago Blu”, chiamato così per il colore delle sue acque , intensamente cerulee, di una tinta che ricorda quella della turchese e che deriva da un minerale presente sul fondo.
La piramide del Cervino si riflette nel limpido specchio delle acque, con magico effetto; dalla riva, guardando nel fondo, si scorgono alcuni tronchi distesi, simili a travi d’un tetto: essi richiamano alla mente la malinconica leggenda del lago.
In un tempo lontano, dove ora è il lago sorgeva una bella casetta, dimora di una famiglia di pastori. Essi però non erano buoni né caritatevoli e anche la donna, la sposa, aveva un cuore duro e crudele. Un giorno alla porta della casa si presentò un misterioso pellegrino: aveva il volto pallido e stanco, le vesti lacere, a brandelli, e si appoggiava affranto a un grosso bastone nodoso. La donna , che era andata ad aprirgli, lo squadrò da capo a piedi con diffidenza palese.
- Cosa vuoi? – gli chiese con voce dura.
- Per amor di Dio, – mormorò il viandante – dammi un po’ di polenta e un po’ di siero di latte…....
Quello che il poveretto chiedeva era ben poca cosa. Ma la pastora avara e spietata rispose in malo modo:
- Vattene, non ho nulla per te. – e gli voltò le spalle.
Il più piccino dei suoi bimbi aveva assistito alla scena e aveva provato una stretta al cuore, di dolore e di pietà. Entrò in casa, andò a prendere la scodella di latte destinata alla sua colazione e fece per porgerla al pellegrino. Ma i familiari si opposero e in atto di scherno diedero al viandante una ciotola piena d’acqua sporca. Il poveretto si allontanò sconsolato, mormorando oscure parole…
