Island Hopping ILHA GRANDE, Brazil | This place is PARADISE
Come along with me as I go island hopping around Ilha Grande, Brazil! This place is a true paradise on Earth.
I'm fortunate enough to have been to hundreds of beaches around the world, but I can easily see why they say that Lopes Mendes beach is considered to be among the top 10 best beaches in the world.
The main town on Ilha Grande is called Vila do Abraão, which was easy to walk around and explore. Plus it has a lovely beach of its own. But, with 365 surrounding islands, a day of island hopping seemed inevitable!

Visit to Ilha Grande a Paradise Island | Rio de Janeiro #49
Visit to Ilha Grande | Rio de Janeiro #49
If you are in Rio de Janeiro and want to visit the island of Ilha Grande, you can get there by a local bus combined with a public ferry or take a daily transfer from Rio.
The main settlement on the island is called Vila do Abraão and most transport goes there. There are three main ports on the mainland from where boats regularly leave for Abraão, from north to south: Mangaratiba (closest to Rio), Conceicao de Jacarai (the one closest to the island and with most connections) and Angra dos Reis (closest to Sao Paulo). There are slow boats operated by CCR Barcas [1] with a capacity of 500+ passengers that cost R$15 (prices in this paragraph as per Feb 2016) and they usually leave once a day from Mangaratiba (8am) and Angra (3:30pm) - check their website for the latest timetable. There are also more frequent fast boats for 15-30 people that cost around R$30 (from Jacarei) and there are taxi boats that cost more.

Ilha Grande | Drone | Diving | Surfing in Brazil - Rio de Janeiro | Best shots
We had awesome days in Ilha Grande, Rio de Janeiro Brazil. We rented some surfboards and went surfing, we have been scuba diving and seen thousands of fishes. We dived with corals at the reefs and touched sea turtles. We have been capturing the best shots of wonderful beaches with our DJI Drone, went through the jungle and spotted monkeys. It was the perfect paradise!

World's TOP 20 ISLANDS: Ilha Grande - Brazil
Some private Photos from my favorite Place to chill from the hectic life in Rio de Janeiro, only 40min with the car!
Info: Ilha Grande (literal translation: Big Island) is an island located
off the coast of Rio de Janeiro state, Brazil. The island is largely undeveloped
and noted for its scenic beauty, which includes 86 tropical beaches,
luxuriant vegetation and a rugged landscape. The land area is 193 km² and
the highest point is Pico da Pedra D'Água, at 1031 m. It once held a
notorious prison, now closed.Ilha Grande is one of the most pristine
remnants of Brazil's Atlantic rainforest, one of the richest ecosystems in the
world, and a hotspot for biodiversity and conservation. It holds some of the
largest remaining populations of many endangered species. The seas around the island, which are also protected, feature a unique convergence of
tropical, subtropical, and temperate-zone marine life, and may be the only waters in the world where it is possible to see corals and tropical fish.(Source: Wiki)
