Top 10 Things to See in London this Summer - London Tour UK
Do you know about the top recommended places to visit in London this summer? We have some recommendations that we would like to share with those who will be coming to visit London this summer - or even for those having some future plans.
London is known to be one of the top cities visited all around the world and that happens for all the different historical attractions that are found there and which one feel pleased whenever he/she comes across any of them, like Big Ben, the Tower Bridge, the Tower of London, etc.
10 - Big Ben: one of the top attractions related to this beautiful historical city is Big Ben, you could visit it during the summer or winter, or any of the other two seasons as well. Big Ben and the famous clock is one of the places that tourists love to go and take pictures in front. One of the interesting things to know about Big Ben is that it is just a nickname given to it when it fact it was used to be referred to as the clock tower and was renamed in 2012 to be called Elizabeth Tower, but lots of people might not be even aware of that ( Visiting Big Ben at the time might not be much interesting because it is undergoing some reconstructions and this will make it difficult for people to enjoy looking at it.
9 - Parliament Square: Parliament Square is located in front of the Houses of Parliament as well as the Westminster Abbey, and it is one good place to visit not just for its location, but also for the statues that are found there, like Churchill, which one could take some pictures of and enjoy walking all around the place.
8 - St. James's Park: there are lots of different parks that one could enjoy visiting in London and one of those famous ones which are even located next to Buckingham Palace and thus could give the visitors the chance to spot it when they are done with their walking session, is St. James's Park with the beautiful lakes, walks, and green spaces which they would get to experience (
7 - Sky Garden: are you looking for one interesting place in London where you could get the chance to enjoy some views over the city? Sky Garden is then the right place for you, because up there you will manage to receive different views of the city and at the same time, you could even enjoy having your dinner up there, just make sure to book your place beforehand and also do that with visiting the garden in general, because they only allow a specific number to come up during the day (
6 - Buckingham Palace: among the top places visited in London, Buckingham Palace is found on the list and this mainly goes back to checking the place where the Royal Family resides and at the same time manage to witness the change of the guards which all the tourists believe is different (
5 - Green Park: Adding to the long list of parks that one could actually visit in London during the good summer days, Green Park is one of them. Green Park is located in the City of Westminster and its name came from just being green, giving visitors the chance to walk and sit among those trees, since it is a park that has no lakes or buildings (
4 - Kensington Gardens: Kensington Gardens is also one of the famous gardens found across London, which were once the private gardens of Kensington Palace, but is now open to the public and is considered among the Royal Parks of London (
3 - South Bank: located just beside the River Thames, the South Bank in London is situated and it is a dynamic area at the heart of the city's cultural scene. In addition to the street shows that one will pass by there, the National Theatre and the BFI film theatre are also found there (
2 - Camden Town: this is where the famous Camden Town Market is located and which offers all the different products that one could get and which most of them are British. In this place, you will find lots of other tourists who are coming to check the market, listen to the music, and at the same time have something to drink and enjoy in any of the cafes.
1 - Hyde Park: since we are talking about summer in the first place then parks and gardens will always be found among this list, at least the ones known to be the most famous and the most interesting in the city. Hyde Park is the most popular park known in London and lots of tourists tend to head for it whenever they visit the city, and this goes back to the lakes, the cafes and restaurants, the squirrel, etc. This park is actually the largest of four Royal Parks that form a chain from the entrance of Kensington Palace and Hyde Park.
