The best beaches in Mexico are definitely Cancun beaches or Tulum beaches, but to find the best beaches in Cancun Mexico you're going to have to look a little further than basic tourist beaches, a trip to the best beaches in Cozumel Mexico might give you a surprise as these beaches can be breathtaking.
Lots of people ask which is better Cancun vs Cabo and I'd give it to Cancun every time. If you're looking for a hidden beach Mexico then we'd suggest you go to Balandra beach.
The best snorkeling in Mexico is all around you, although a specific Mexico beach that is located in Tulum is my favorite, other than that any Gulf of Mexico beaches provides great snorkeling opportunities.
The best beach in Mexico is located in Tulum, you have to visit.
The best swimming beaches in Mexico, in my opinion, are in Cancun for the calm crystal clear water and calm sand. Any beach along that coastline would qualify as the best beach in Cancun, however, finding the least busy would be your best bet.
The best beaches in Mexico for families would also be in Tulum and they would be my recommended list of the best beaches to visit in Mexico.

Hidden Gems of Quintana Roo
Quintana Roo may be the youngest state in Mexico (and includes resort towns like Cancun, Cozumel, and Playa del Carmen), but it also has one of the historic gems of Mexico—the ancient city of Tulum. There are plenty of compelling reasons as to why this is the most visited destination in Mexico—the warm water, the white sand beaches and of course, the ancient Mayan ruins. But there’s so much more beyond the all-inclusive resorts. Here are some of my hidden gems of Quintana Roo.

Top 5 Things To Do in Playa del Carmen | What To Do in Playa del Carmen
Here are my personal Top 5 Things to do when you are coming down to Playa del Carmen. Playa del Carmen was put on the map because of the traffic of tourism attracted to Cancun, and eventually Playa del Carmen was going to be discovered. A few decades ago, Playa del Carmen, which is now one of the fastest growing towns in the world, was nothing more than a small fishing village. With the expansion of tourism along, what is now known as the Riviera Maya, Playa del Carmen has grown at an incredible rate, all thanks to tourism. As you can imagine, with tourism, influx of money and people, there is a strong need for things to do, activities and tourist attractions while in Playa del Carmen. Of course, it is known for the beaches but people these days want more than just sitting on a beach, especially when you are coming down for longer than a week, or an indefinite trip. This video explains my Top 5 What to do in Playa del Carmen.
Listed below are a number of other videos on this channel which show some other incredible things to do in the Playa del Carmen area and the Mayan Riviera in general.

Xpu Ha Beach - Beach XpuHa - Riviera Maya, Mexico
After messing about on Google Maps, I found some gorgeous turquoise blue water near XpuHa Beach just past Puerto Aventuras on the Riviera Maya in Mexico. I tracked back and it looked the best way to enter was simply getting out at XpuHa and walking north along the Caribbean until the rocks came out. For those who dont know, Xpu Ha is a very popular beach, and as you will see, for good reason. There are some restaurants, bars, seating and sun beds at XpuHa but can be quite busy at times. So after arriving, we decided to go north from Xpu Ha towards the rocks. As you will see, we arrived to see a path, which we tried to take but were stopped by a security guard who said we couldnt go through that way. After speaking with him he said that we could go the other way. He then watched us walk almost all the way to the cenote we were after, before whistling and coming to tell us that we in fact cant go that way either. No problem, we didnt to return back towards Xpu Ha, when his friend comes and as we pass him, he decides to smack me in the back with his stick! After a little altercation with the loco locals, cooler heads ... mine ... prevailed. Ended up returning to XpuHa and enjoying the beach and a beer on the swings. However, it just goes to show that sometimes uneducated people just dont react the same way as normal people. Like I say in the video, when someone picks up a rock and holds it over your head, you cant really level with them.
Alls well that ends well I suppose.

Secret Spots in Cancun and the Riviera Maya
As a leading destination in the Caribbean, Cancun and the Riviera Maya may come off as far too laden with tourists. Though it is primarily known for its amazing beaches and rowdy party scene, this region on Mexico’s Yutacán Peninsula still has plenty left to discover and much to offer in the way of hidden gems.
For instance, the region is full of amazingly beautiful cenotes, or natural freshwater wells that can contain fantastic caves or caverns ripe for exploration. So when packing your bags, we strongly suggest you make sure you have some snorkeling or diving gear. You can also step away from the tequila and learn about Mexico’s fascinating and unique wildlife at its natural parks or its rich Mayan history and heritage at a national museum or archaeological site. Not far off the coast are some islands which may not be on your bucket list but are still gorgeous and worth a visit all the same. If you’re considering a visit to the beautiful city of Cancun and the stunning Riviera Maya nearby, these secret spots are a must-visit.
