370 Year Old Gigantic Sakura Tree ☆ LIVE #13
One of the top cherry blossom viewing spots in Japan, this tree called SHIDARE ZAKURA at Asuwa Shrine in central Fukui city is spectacular! It's over 370 years old and 12m high, 26m wide. The shrine itself has history going back 1500 years. Just for a few days a year, this tree looks like this and at night, it will take your breath away. This is Japan's Sakura season at its best.
A morning drive in Fukui, Japan
Here's a nice part of my morning drive from 鯖江市 (Sabae-shi) to 織田町 (Ota-cho) in 福井県 (Fukui-ken). I teach at a couple of elementary schools out there, and absolutely love the drive to and from.

Iris Flower Festival was held from June 2nd to June 24th, 2018 at Daianzenji Temple in Fukui City, Fukui Prefecture. This is an annual festival which will be held next year for sure, however it is unsure for the festival to be held the year after next and after that. Next year, the major repair will be started, and it will take 10 years to be finished, so they don’t know if they can have the festival during the repair.
