ISRAEL VLOG EPISODE 9
On this episode, we went to Prague and saw the small but vibrant Jewish community there. We had some interesting conversations on the bus. We then went to Theresienstadt and had a very meaningful experience. After that, we took a 7 hour bus ride to Krakow.
In these vlogs, I want to show that while we are going into very sad and meaningful places, we are also going to beautiful sights and seeing the current Jewish communities. I hope that these vlogs reflect that.

STORYLINE:
An Israeli armoured column entered the West Bank town of Beit Jala early on Saturday, but did not immediately move towards neighbouring Bethlehem.
Christians in the biblical town of Bethlehem are observing the Easter weekend.
Armoured personnel carriers (APCs) and tanks were involved in the operation.
The move by Israel is the latest in a series of incursions into Palestinian territory, including an assault on Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat's headquarters in Ramallah on Friday.
Earlier this month, the Israeli military carried out an extensive operation in the West Bank and Gaza
Strip, sending 20,000 soldiers into towns, villages and refugee camps in a hunt for Palestinian militants.
That operation was the biggest since Israel's 1982 invasion of Lebanon.

Israelis and Palestinians react to Trump's address
(31 Jan 2018) Palestians and Israelis reacted on Wednesday to US President Donald Trump's first State of the Union address.
During his speech, Trump said he wants Congress to pass a law ensuring US foreign aid goes only to America's friends - a reference to his frustration at US aid recipients that voted at the UN to rebuke his decision to recognise Jerusalem as Israel's capital.

Ungerleider Haggadot Symposium
On Friday, October 19, 2018, the Brown University Library hosted the Ungerleider Haggadot Symposium, drawing on material from the Dr. Steven Ungerleider Collection of Haggadot.
Whether artistically elegant or plainly made, the Passover haggadah encapsulates much more than the simple retelling of the Biblical story of Moses leading the Hebrew people out of Egypt to the Promised Land. In its inculcation of scholarly commentary and its embodiment of ritual performance, it has provided a “mirror to Jewish history” for generation upon generation of Jews, all within the context of familial life. In this symposium, moderated by Adam Teller, Brown University Professor of History and Judaic Studies, three renowned scholars of Judaism and material culture will discuss aspects of the haggadah and how it was shaped to respond to the varied needs of ritual life across time and the Jewish diaspora:
Jonathan Sarna, Joseph H. and Belle R. Braun Professor of American Jewish History at Brandeis University
David Stern, Harry Starr Professor of Classical and Modern Jewish and Hebrew Literature and Professor of Comparative Literature and Director of the Center for Jewish Studies at Harvard University
Marc Epstein, Professor of Religion on the Mattie M. Paschall Davis and Norman H. Davis Chair at Vassar College
The Dr. Steven Ungerleider Collection of Haggadot was given to the Library by Dr. Steven Ungerleider, in memory of his father Samuel Ungerleider, Jr., Class of 1939. This collection of Haggadot–the text recited on the first two nights of the Jewish Passover–is remarkable for its geographic, linguistic, and temporal diversity. The collection comprises haggadot from Asia, Africa, Europe, North America and the Near East. It incorporates a wide range of Jewish vernacular languages, from Yiddish and Ladino to Judeo-Italian and Judeo-Arabic in representative exemplars from Jewish communities across the globe, many long since dispersed. The collection covers more than four hundred years of Jewish culture, from the Ottoman Empire in 1505 to the State of Israel in the 1950s.

NYSTV - The TRUE Age of the Earth Ancient Texts and Archaeological Proof Michael Mize
How old is Earth? Scientists will tell you billions of years and creationists will tell you 6,000. Which you believe depends on which evidence you choose to believe.
Do fossils take millions of years to form or hundreds?
Is carbon dating accurate?
Are stars burning balls of gas billions of miles away or just pinholes in the curtain of night or are they Heavenly Luminaries holding up the firmament?
Again, it depends on who you want to believe. But a good bet is always to follow the truth. All Truths in life should point the same way,
