In-N-Out One Year Anniversary in Medford, Oregon
I'd just like to take a moment to remember the victims of 9/11. This year marks the fifteenth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks in which terrorists hijacked four airliners simultaneously and crashed them into three out of four targets. The two World Trade Center towers, and the Pentagon. The fourth plane was believed to be heading to the White House but the citizens aboard that plane fought back against the terrorists and the plane instead crashed into a field in Pennsylvania. More than 3,000 people lost their lives that day including hundreds of first responders such as paramedics, police officers and firefighters. May we always hold the victims in our hearts as we continue to mourn their deaths.
America is the greatest nation on Earth. It is my honor and privilege to have one of America's most popular restaurants in my home town. In-N-Out has been open for one year already! I remember when the company first announced that they were going to set up shop in Medford. It was back in October of 2014. Press releases from In-N-Out were few and far between. Time felt like it had just stopped. Eventually the company revealed that they would build store #304 near the Rogue Valley Mall at the site of the current Shell gas station. I think In-N-Out paid Shell to vacate the premises.
In-N-Out broke ground on construction of their new restaurant in May of 2015. It took construction crews four months to build the store.
Its a beautiful building, It is large and bright and one cannot help but to be in awe when gazing upon its magnificence. I think of it this way, Salem has the Capitol Building, and we have In-N-Out. I think that's more than fair. I wouldn't be at all surprised to learn that more people visit In-N-Out than the State Capitol.
Eating my celebretory 12x12 burger which cost me over $16 was easy. I did start to feel full early on but the sensation subsided and I was able to eat my way to victory. Its not every day that I can say that I ate more than 4,000 calories in one sitting.
Unfortunately I failed to obtain any official sales numbers for the store's first year of operation. I wanted to specifically know how many hamburgers that the sell on a daily basis, how much money does the restaurant make in a day, how much money have they made in a year? I suppose I understand why that information is classified. I can hazard to guess that they make an obsene amount of money and obviously they sell a ton of hamburgers every day.
As mom and I were enjoying ourselves at In-N-Out we noticed a little girl was wearing an employee uniforn, right down to the little red apron and the large safety pin they use to fasten it with. Other than that gimmick, the restaurant made no effort to promote their anniversary. It didn't make the papers, and the company didn't buy ad time on television or the radio. I wonder why this was kept so low profile?
The little In-N-Out girl who couldn't have been more than six years old saw me filming and she wondered what I was up to. I should have interviewed her.
In-N-Out is amazing! I'm so pleased that we have one here and that for the time being its the first and only restaurant in Oregon

Drone Footage - USC (US Cellular Fields/Park) in Medford, Oregon
This footage is from US Cellular Park in Medford, Oregon. The City paid quite a bit for this baseball / soccer / multi-purpose fields and they're top notch. They also have brought a lot of money into the Rogue Valley economy with various events and such. This is a true testament to the City of Medford and their foreword thinking.
BEAR CREEK GREENWAY 2014
The Bear Creek Greenway is a 17.9-mile (28.8 km) biking and hiking path extending from Ashland to Central Point in the U.S. state of Oregon. Passing through Talent,Phoenix, and Medford, it roughly parallels Bear Creek, a tributary of the Rogue River. The Greenway is divided into two lanes for bi-directional traffic and is inaccessible to motor vehicles (except for county maintenance).

A bicycle-only path in the Medford area may have been discussed as early as 1899, when bicycles were increasing in popularity. Jackson County collected $500 from a tax on bicycles that year for construction of a path,[5] but the project was not carried out. In 1973, former representative Al Densmore presented a bill to the Oregon Legislative Assembly, which authorized the Oregon Department of Transportation to build 3.4 miles (5.5 km) of the greenway that year.[
When Densmore presented his bill, Jackson County began a land acquisition program that led to completion of segments in 1973, 1980, 1995, and 1998.

By 2011, the Bear Creek Greenway was complete from Ashland to Central Point. All road crossings are handled by overpasses or underpasses except Suncrest Road near Talent, which requires crossing the street itself.

The Bear Creek Greenway Foundation is seeking funds to add an additional 1.4-mile (2.3 km) section between Pine Street and Upton Road in Central Point.[2] The path may eventually link to the planned Rogue River Greenway along the Rogue River between Central Point and Grants Pass.[9] If completed, the combined trails would connect Ashland to Grants Pass with a continuous biking and hiking path largely protected from motorized traffic.
